Basically what's happening is that everyone can make their own game now, so a 3E session often turns into a bunch of individuals running their own agendas instead of a team banding together, etc. etc., but that's just one fellow's opinion. That's where there needs to be more like tyrannical DMs lik...

Re: old school crust and prestige classes
Hah! I couldn't agree more. 'Old-School Gaming' for me is just regular old gaming, but I have to remember that I'm sort of an old man too. I recall peeling off with glee the low-grade shrink wrap from the next Gygax doozy and the thing is, the joy of that isn't just a nostalgia thing now, I thought...

Self-contained, mostly. It's still covering all the lands, so no one city or village is going to be highly detailed. In that respect, having a DCC that happens to tie into such a locale will certainly help, but you won't find it vital. Plenty of room for you to develop on your own, too. Will I see ...

Old D&D Boxed Sets
Hello fellow gamers, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought this forum was the best bet. I'm selling my old AD&D boxed sets on Amazon. Here's the links: Menzoberranzan (AD&D/Forgotten Realms) [BOX SET] (Hardcover): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FCCK2Y/104-3139000-5876720?n=283...

Hello guys, What, if any, plans for future development of the Known Lands do you guys have planned? Maybe area or kingdoms that could stand some furthur development or something beyond what's provided in the boxed-set. OR, do you plan to let future DDC adventures handle all of the continuous develop...

Since you guys have been sharing your world development, I thought I'd share too. Here's a link to the weblog I use to host some of the information about my homebrew setting. Note that this is all from a player character's P.O.V., so many falsehoods and such. Fun stuff: http://thundervalley-dd.blogs...

I love that cover. Don't really mind the price either. For campaign setting and two adventures, thats not bad at all. I agree. I take back any complaints I posted above. The hours of entertainment that this boxed set will provide would be much more expensive compared to other forms of entertainment...

Great story so far. Keep 'em coming. So, how is Castles and Crusades? The only thing that I've seen that turns me off is the lack of multiclasing. Yeah, as he said, you can multiclass. The only thing that turned me off was the lack of a skills system. Otherwise, very cool. It really gets back to th...

I remember when you could buy a TSR module for $8.99 at Toys R Us. Am I dating myself? 8) The two modules included lessen the sting. That's like a $22 value or something. The Wilderlands went for the same price, but no adventures. Wonder how they are selling. I remember, when I was young, like 10 o...

Thanks. Hopefully it won't be quite that much. I mean, I know it costs money to make a product and everybody involved has to be compensated, but I can't afford/justify spending that much. I mean, I'd really like to check out Monte Cooks Ptawluss (or however you spell that city) campaign setting; but...
