Re: Frozen in Time - As a 0-level funnel

[Myrna: Int d20=19(-1)=18] Myrna realizes that the "narrow opening measuring about 6" wide and 7' tall" is a sliding door of some kind that has gotten stuck between open and closed. With some effort, the door might be able to slide open even more. Voorak takes one of his iron spikes ...

Re: Frozen in Time - As a 0-level funnel

[are the gaps/passages between the bulky objects very narrow, or could a person walk down them easily? Also, does the pillar fill or block this passage?] There is generally at least a 5' gap between them. A person can walk between them easily. Kurr and Myrna move down the right passage. Myrna will ...

Honest John and Red Robert take down another two of the warriors! Squire Jon and Ragged Rob miss... Unfortunately, Squire John is thrown off balance by the bat-like swing of his pitchfork and falls to his hands and knees. Before he can recover, a jagged bronze sword beheads him, blood spurting onto ...

Re: Frozen in Time - As a 0-level funnel

Voorak reaches out cautiously with his off-hand to touch the pillar. It is smooth and slightly cooler than room temperature. You notice that on one side of the pillar is a narrow opening measuring about 6" wide and 7' tall. Darkness lies beyond the gap. A small, shallow circular indentation is...

While Kurr and Myrna catch up to Voorak, Blackfeet starts to slip down the left tunnel. [Myrna; Luck d20=4 (whew! I think...] There is a clicking sound, and the pattern of lights on the bulky shape changes slightly. Nothing else happens. That said, any lights down either of these 'gaps'? I'm a sucker for flashing lights... Consoles along the wall both ways, about the same in terms of flashing lights. Myrna reaches out and touches the bulky shape with blinking lights to see if any of the "glowing gems" are loose. Myrna see...

"Demon Dogs! What is this place?" Voorak circles the room as much as space will allow. Wary of inhabitants, and looking for an exit. So there is one of the odd bulky shapes with blinking lights in front of you, one along the wall to your left and one along the wall to your right. There ar...

The floor is solid, there is plenty of room to spread out at the bottom, and you detect no immediate threats... although the chamber is stiflingly hot and green vapor fills the air, making it difficult to see more than 10' ahead of you. Odd, bulky shapes, many bearing a myriad of small blinking lig...

[OOC: Squire John-damage 4, Ragged Rob 1; Sorry. Just so used to missing.] Squire John jabs another one with his pitchfork. The piercing tines are not very effective against its skeletal frame, but they do damage it. Ragged Rob's stone caroms off a rib of another one, chipping the ancient bone. Two...

You scramble along the secondary tunnel for a distance of 30' before reaching its terminus. A 3' square hole covered by a mesh of shiny thin sticks of silverock* stands before you, breaking the monotony of the tunnel. Beyond this grating is a mist-filled chamber, its dimensions impossible to discer...

Cautiously approaching the light, you do see a side passage branching off the tunnel to the right and running off into the distanc...

Before you do that (and it's fine if you want to continue), I should mention that as she moves the 10' further in the tunnel, at the edge of her vision Bjorn notices up ahead that a shaft of light is pouring into the tunnel, appearing to come from an opening in the tunnel's right wall.

Bjorn fails to hit anything, slumping aside as the creature rushes right at her! However, it misses badly [natural 1] and its momentum carries it up the side of the tunnel, flipping itself over. Like a turtle on its back, it flails about, unable to right itself. Grump slashes at its underside... [p...

Ok! You push past Grump and quickly catch the arachnid-like beasts, stabbing one of the remaining two dead with your flint knife!

The other lunges at you with his white hot bony head-plate and catches you on the arm for 1 HP damage.

Bjorn, since you have the INIT, give me an Agility check to see if you can successfully push past Grump as he prepares to chase the retreating bugs. You need to beat a DC of 10.
