Re: Is there a Limited Edition Cover #3 coming?
Well, FRP Games has it listed (for pre-order); they say it's by Jeff Easley. Make of that what you will... http://www.frpgames.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=90189#.UMaLwIO0OuI PreOrder (Estimate March, 2013 Release) The hit RPG of the year, Dungeon Crawl Classics offers yet another limited-edi...

I've already got the t-shirt and Ltd Ed Wizard cover pre-ordered, so: More Doug Kovacs original art. More opportunities to play in games run by Goodman, Stroh, Kovacs, & Zimmerman (plus a chance to add Curtis to that list). More opportunities to run games at my FLGS (so I can get the DCC belt bu...

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f38/keyescannon/DCC%20RPG/381A0148.jpg I picked up these full-color, hardcover beauties at my local Half Price Books; the two volumes collect Barry Windsor Smith's entire run on Marvel's Conan The Barbarian plus a few others. Includes adaptations of Tower of the El...

Noble Knight comes to mind, though I think they were fully established as an online seller first before branching out into brick & mortar sales.Colin wrote:I'm sure you chaps in the US can name actual stores that also do very well with online sales as well.

Need _more_ corruption results? DL "The Metamorphica" (FREE)
In a nutshell, this 156 page system-neutral sourcebook appears to be an amazing resource for any number of rpgs (certainly including DCC). Factor in that it's free in pdf form and dirt cheap in paperback ($4.90 US!) and, well, to me that elevates it to "must have" status. The Metamorphica ...

Re: Initiative
I thought you rolled initiative each round. You certainly can do it that way, but the example of spell dueling (of all things) on pages 100-102 suggests that the original roll is kept throughout the combat Example of Spell Dueling : The combat consists of The Emerald Sorcerer, his two emerald soldi...

Re: Initiative
It's implied (if not stated outright) that you roll initiative at the beginning of the fight and keep that result from round to round. For the Funnel with everyone controlling multiple characters it's probably best for each player to roll once for his or her group of zero levels, modifying it by the...

Re: Great Gen Con Dice Off
So, to paraphrase Pulp Fiction, I carried this uncomfortable hunk of plastic (my d24) around in my pocket for 3 days on the chance I might run into Harley for the Dice Off. Earlier tonight (Saturday), just when I was convinced it wasn't going to happen I turn a corner on the way back to the room for...

Page 320
Patrons are not always gods. A patron can be any powerful
supernatural creature. In fact they are usually demons, devils,
and demi-gods, not full deities. To deign low enough to
engage in compacts with mortals would not be flattering to
a deity’s ego.

Re: A reference to Vecna?
Mordenkainen's name was inspired by Finnish mythology.
Tenser is an anagram for Ernest (as in Ernest "Ernie" Gygax, Gary's son and Tenser's player).
Otiluke may be a reference to both a PC of Gygax's named Otis and his son Luke.

Magic, congrats on getting 100% funded. I'll definitely be chipping in an extra $3 for that set of d3s. Here's my vote for adding the d22 as a stretch goal, too.
