Re: Christmas comes early but not early enough
I agree with everyone here...is it ready yet? I too, like Pathfinder, but it just doesn't have the playability I'm looking for. I bet the answer will arrive tomorrow!

Re: Beta Release Date
It would be cool if someone made one of desktop-clock widgets. That way we could have our own "DCC Countdown Clock to Awesome"
As it is, I'll be checking in often! Thanks!

Re: Adventure! What kind will you run for DCC?
I've got a home-brewed campaign setting that's in the early stages of development - We play Pathfinder system in my own world, "The Crescent" I plan to keep this world and start new characters in it.
Classic fantasy earth but it has three moons. It's cool.

Re: Maps
Reading the concerns about the detail level of this amazing map: What about making the player's map the ultra-cool, fully illustrated one? Then have the GM map be more simplified, yet full of critical details. That way both the players and the GM can "oooo and Ahhh" over the quality artwor...

Greetings,
And now my "Noob" status shows. I now see I'm covering old ground. Please feel free to shuffle, delete or purge this thread as you see fit!
I'm going to go and find some books by Bernard Cornwell!
Thanks!

Appendix "Z" - Other Classic Sword & Sorcery Books
Greetings All, I'm fortunate enough to have read a lot of the "Appendix N" books. All great stuff. However, I've come across some other, even lesser known arcane books. Can we list some Classic reading material that is not on the Appendix N list? I would like to regulate these books to one...

Economics in DCC...Gold! Gold! Gold!
Greetings All, I've really enjoyed catching up on all the older posts. I getting a feel for what the game will be like. I didn't see any posts about treasure. Here's my two-cents  worth: I've always had problems with vast treasure hoards found in the dungeons. "I just killed four Zombies,...

Re: Luck
Perhaps rolling an additional die with your regular rolls...Roll your d20, and roll a d6. The d6 can give you an amazing luck bonus; but only if you roll a 6! And you can roll this extra die the same number of times as your Luck score. Luck of 11? You get 11 rolls per day of game time. Luck 18? Well...

This part cracked me up. Classic.I consented to rescue his plans, even if the poor man believed that the long-lost Undertemple Of The Carnifex was merely filled with gemstones, instead of the pools of liquid chocolate that I foresaw.

Re: A plug for two book stores (Appendix N readers take note
Greetings,
I just picked up some nice SF/Fantasy art books at Jackson Street Books in Athens, Georgia.
Here's a web thingy: http://www.jacksonst-books.com/
They also have a search ability to help you find that obscure copy of Michael Moorcock, etc.

Welcome New DCC RPG Fans
Greetings All, I'm hoping more Classic Fantasy Fans will find this game and forum. If so, perhaps this can serve as a warm welcome. Welcome! 8) I'm extremely excited about what I'm reading for the Dungeon Crawl Classics game. I refuse to live in the past and play only OSRIC. I refuse to micro-manage...
