Re: Where is the DCC Crowd heading to in 2013... (Con-wise)
I have been invited as a special guest to North Texas RPG Con and have added it to my 2013 schedule.
There is a little more about it on my blog:
http://dougkovacs.com/dkblog/
I believe both Michael Curtis and Harley Stroh will be in attendance as well.

Re: DCC RPG Alternate Cover #2
Doug, you didn't show them the 4th spine.
There was a post of a half done version of the 4th spine on another thread.
Anyone recall where?

Re: Where is the DCC Crowd heading to in 2013... (Con-wise)
I was just perusing the Event Catalog for GaryCon in preparation for tomorrow's registration and I noticed... ...no games run by Harley or Doug or Joseph... I am shocked...nay, mortified! Now I will have to ply them with liquor and begging! I was just perusing the Event Catalog for GaryCon in prepa...

Re: Gary Con
So it looks like between Mike and James there are DCC RPG games offered during most of the more heavily attended parts of the weekend. You can look at the GaryCon schedule and see this for yourself. http://www.garycon.com/index.php Because I'm a sensitive but mostly chaotic artist I hate the idea of...

Re: Where is the DCC Crowd heading to in 2013... (Con-wise)
As of this moment in Late January:
GaryCon
and
Gen Con
If anyone offered to cover travel expenses and a floor to sleep on I might seriously consider anywhere else.
Possibly just one of the two if I thought I could make it up in art sales.

Re: Gary Con
This is what I know about the Goodman Connected folk: Michael Curtis and I will be in attendance. Mike told me he submitted 4 games to Gary Con. James Caprio (chapter 13) will also be there, and I'm guessing he will be running Tales of the Fallen Empire. Joseph and Harley will not make it this year....

Re: Is our vision of Conan wrong?
We want Conan the brute. Both Fafhrd and Elric are more femmy than Conan, For some reason I like both of them better than Conan though. This considered, Cugel the clever is really the bigger brute. (Jack Vance/ Dying Earth , do I need to say this?) As far as I can remember Conan only throws women ou...

Re: Is our vision of Conan wrong?
Our image of Conan has been dictated by Frazzeta almost as much as it has been by Howard. A lot of artists looked at Frazzeta's vision after. Frazzeta painted in a time in which absolute realism wasn't called "correct'. That might not even be the case at present, but be it as it may. I've got w...

Thanks for sharing this. It is the kind of stuff we would probably never see without the help. The last one in particular looks somewhat like a Roslof illo.

Parables & Prophecies of the Golden Ones Kickstarter
The artist Jim Pavelec has painted covers for Goodman games in the past. It is kind of late in the game at this point but I recommend you support this : http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/390343137/parables-and-prophecies-of-the-golden-ones I've got his first project and it is a metal album in the ...

Re: So if you had to pick a belt buckle...
If I should find I wore a hat, I would hope the only thing pinned to it was The Pectoral Sky-break Spatterlight ...and if I had to vote a belt buckle it would be the least of evils. Right now it seems like E or H.

Re: That's a cool T-shirt
What could this be for? What were you listening to at the time? It could have been a few things. The answer most analogous to DCC RPG would be the new album from "The Sword" Some early Genesis , Fairport Convention and even Lynyrd Skynyrd are all on the playlist I've been listening to lat...

Harley: are you talking about "Ride of the Black Eagle"?
or the second spine on the easel? The actual canvas behind that art is just me messing around with another potential red door painting. At this point it could easily get painted over.

Re: How could Cronan kill the Grue yet be killed by a blob?
Gronan vs. The Grue Mike's compliments drew me in to the conversation. Yes, I regard being called a monster as a compliment. Blame the maps on Mike with this one....and I think confusion was the point so on second thought don't blame him..thank him. Thanks Mike. I wanted to set the record straight ...

That link was very cool Rick. Minor choke up for Doug.
My mom was and is a reader too. I attribute most of my love of literature (and art) to her.
