I ran Forgotten Realms for years on end. I played a little Greyhawk early on but a bad DM soured me on the setting. My current favorites are: Ptolus: what I've seen so far is really good Iron Kingdoms Forgotten Realms Eberron Kalamar I'm sure DCC World will be up there at the top of the list when it...

I've never seen the card game before, is this something you would recommend?

Thanks,
Ren

Oh, I also meant to mention that if you fill out a "reply card" in the back of the book, you get a free PDF of

DCC 3,11, or 17.

DCC #29: The Adventure Begins

I just got a chance to pick this up today. First off, let say I was really surprised at how thick this book is. I was expecting a big trade paperback but nothing this big. There is alot of content in this book. So far I'm very happy with my purchase. I've gotten to read through the Tower of the Blac...

I am Dungeon Mastering for one of those young souls right now. He is currently about to face Blood Whisker, before heading off north to Wildsgate.

Thats great news! I, for one, can't wait to see those maps! I know I had fun trying to make all those modules fit into my little CC-2 map. I know you had a blast mapping the world around them.

Ordering DCC's from Goodman Games

I just wanted to drop a note to say that I recently ordered The Mysterious Tower and War of the Witch Queen from Goodman Games' online store. It took a couple of weeks for the product to get here, but I was okay with that. Not only did I get the modules I ordered, but they included the "Bookmar...

There are a few monsters in the DCC modules that could easily be used as PC Races, but I, for one, am glad that you guys just left it standard. There really are no "standard" out of the PHB D&D worlds. Unless you count Greyhawk, which I don't like for reasons totally unrelated to the v...

Thanks for the update Jeremey. From what I've seen so far you do excellent work. I've got some ideas about what the maps might look like (probably just personal tastes or a gut feeling) but I'll keep that to myself for now and see if I'm right once we get a glimpse at them. Again, thanks for the upd...

Great story so far. Keep 'em coming. So, how is Castles and Crusades? The only thing that I've seen that turns me off is the lack of multiclasing.

How are you pronouncing: Crieste ? (Creeste)?

BTW, Holdfast of the Steel Overlord is a really cool name for a dwarven stronghold!

Yeah, these are the only things that keep me playing third edition D&D. If it weren't for them I"d be running Conan full time. As it stands I am enjoying being able to introduce my son and his friends to D&D in the old fashion style of Dungeon Crawls.

These products are fabulous...

The Golden Palace of Zahadran & The Transmuter’s Last To

Both of these look like excellent adventures. I'm glad to see another 2 dollar adventure too!

The artwork for The Golden Palace looks excellent!

C'mon July!

Great idea, Lukash. I love the True 20 system too. If you go over and check the www.true20.com site you will find that Phillip Reed has just released a PDF that has tons of standard fantasy characters. It might help in any conversion that you do.

In that case you'd need to halve the rewarded treasure as well, unless you want your party to have twice the amount of treasure they should. I don't have a problem with that really, I think the standard gives out too little anyway...

I'd set up the fight so that they can see how strong the ogre is. Perhaps they encounter him when he is quite mad and is having a tantrum, breaking rocks (or kobold skulls) with his club, having the explode into fine powder upon contact. Smart players will make sure they stay away from him during th...
