Prolly a good idea to post this in the errata thread, "Stomp the Typo!", so it doesn't get lost.

Prolly a good idea to post these notes in the errata thread labelled "Stomp the Typo" above. They tend to get lost amid general thread use else.

Re: Quick question regarding healing ability points. . .
When the rule book states you heal one point per good night's rest, does it mean 1 point off of each ability or just one point in total? So if the Wizard has Strength, Personality, and Agility depleted by 3 point each , does he gain a point back in each catagory or does he have to pick only one abi...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
My method of "reason over rules", a mantra I can firmly stand by, is this: roll attack with deed as normal, describe whatever results occur in the most reasonably way possible: Examples, based on the disarm deed and enough damage to reduce a foe to 0 hp. A) Normal damage - the foe is crip...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
Yah, some sort of balance is probably called for here; you don't want to punish the players for dreaming up deeds by having their characters not do any sort of damage. They will quickly figure out they have to play it safe and just deliver bland attacks if they want to put anyone on the ground. Wha...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
I'd simply rule that attacks/deeds that aren't meant to actively cause damage (such as a disarm) *don't cause damage*. Reason over rules. :) Do you mean that as in 'never'? "I'll kick him in the wrist, causing him to drop that axe..." *rolls dice* I'd leave it up to the player if they don...

Re: Adventure Idea - The Fallen Leviathan
I had an idea for a DCC adventure and wanted some feedback to hear if anyone finds it interesting. Here is a synopsis: The Fallen Leviathan Years ago, a great magical warbeast fell in the dry, hot wasteland (think of a Mumak, but even larger). The adventure revolves around the characters exploring ...

Some generic resources for folks: How about some free generators? Dyson's Random Morph Map Risus Monkey's Random Map Generator Dan Collins offers the freely downloadable and neat little GridMapper application for dungeon mapping. The Hack & Slash blog provides a 30-page Traps, Tricks, & Empt...

Re: Known spells at 0-level..?
That makes sense! Thanks. I was confused by this: 5. Attempt to survive your first dungeon. If you survive and reach 1 XP, you advance to 1st level. At this point, you choose a class. See page 19. 6. Based on the class, you may know some spells. Because the steps follow in order, step 6 basically j...

Re: Review: Doom of the Savage Kings
I was really pissed when I saw this tucked into a copy of the game at the local store but they wouldn't let me buy it separately. It feels like I'm being punished for having purchased my copy of the book directly from Goodman Games! Anyway, any chance we could buy it directly from goodman games? Ho...

Re: Two questions regarding deeds of arms
Perhaps the reasonable thing to do is simply decide on the fly whether damage should be normal or subdual based on the intent of the deed. If you try to blind someone with an axe, that is obviously normal damage; if you attempt the same thing by throwing sand in their face, that is obviously subdua...

Re: DCC RPG reviewed at Enworld
I think the problem frequently arises when a forum's active membership just gets too large; you often end up with a greater proportion of yahoos then because there are more posters in general, and admin is stretched thinner. Add in the impact of the mean age of a forum's membership, and you also end...

No worries. I've incorporated it into the "unofficial official errata" because it's a clear and obvious typo, but one that could cause rules confusion.

Page 77: "A 4th-level warrior with action dice of d20+d16..." Page 44: http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w433/cmjo/Warrior2.jpg But the 4th level warrior only has the one d20 action dice. That's a typo. As the example is supposed to show the use of more than one action die, the level of...

Re: Atributes for non-human races (?)
If I was to houserule along your lines, Lars (but I'm not, because my Crawl! article neatly sidesteps nearly every case of this issue and the issue of Strength 3 blacksmiths), I'd use something like this: 1) Roll 3d6 for abilities. 2) Roll Occupation. 2a) If Occupation indicates a dwarf, elf, or hal...

By the rules, no, there are no adjustments. It comes down to purely houserule territory and whether or not it matters to the individual group or not.

Re: (BHP) Appendix N Adventure Toolkits KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!
Speaking of "stretch" or bonus goals as they are called in this campaign. I can't find the indication of what $ amount you intend them to be. Is that deliberate mystery? As things close in on $1,000 it is probably appropriate to name the first one at least. The Bonus Goals (in terms of mo...
