Right now the poster map from Isle of the Sea Drake is my wallpaper ('cause, you know, I got it a little early).
Still in love with this idea. I'm kinda a wallpaper junkie.

Re: Aereth and 4E
I like it when I hear people say that 4E characters are unkillable. My first experience with 4E was the Dungeon Delve at D&DXP.
Stroh, Doyle, two or three other dudes, and myself were TPK'ed in room two.
Makes me smile.

Heh. The tournament authors and I thank you.Cool. Pat on the back to all the hardworking folks at GG.
And I've got much love for the Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser, particularly the Mouser. That's exactly the kind of character I like to play in a game.

Re: Question: Whiterock PreGens
Hybban has the right of it (as well he should since he's our newest Tournament Judge!)... Skill ranks max out at [character level +3] Then you add in ability modifiers, feats like Skill Focus or Alertness, racial modifiers, and whatever else you've got to get the total skill modifier , which pretty ...

Re: Question: Whiterock PreGens
GnomeBoy has the right of it. Those are total skill modifiers, not just ranks. That said, it looks like they might be a little off in the skill point department. Err...sorry. They look like pretty small mistakes, so you could still just run them "as is." It doesn't look like anythin...

I've been playing a modified FUDGE sci-fi game for a while.

Re: Songs for an improvement of mood
Been doing a chunk of writing lately, and the soundtrack to the PS2 game God of War has been some pretty pulse-pounding background music and quality voice acting. "I have taught you many ways to kill a mortal, Kratos. Flesh that burns. Bones that break. But to break a man's spirit is to truly d...

Re: What did you like about 3.x?
What I like most about 3.5 is... ...transparency. The system makes sense. I can see the nuts and bolts of it, the underlying mechanics. I can consistently replicate the results (like, say, adding 4 HD to an aberration or 4 wizard levels to a goblin). Also love the NPC classes, also love (love-love-l...

Re: 4E DCC
Im not so sure about the artwork for the new DCCs. Well, like Joseph said in the linked interview above, you have to differentiate the 3.5 modules from the 4E modules in appearance, and this clearly accomplishes that. If you're on the edge of getting one or not, my advice would be to check the auth...

Papa-DRB...I somehow missed this post entirely... Without giving away the story line, does someone have such a paragraph and what classes might be best for Castle Whiterock (DCC #51)? CW is very much a "food groups" dungeon...I'll give you more than a paragraph, though... Rogues: there are...

Re: DCC Tournament Year Five
Excellent. Whizbang Dustyboots can tell you that some of those teams are a hoot to play with. When we get closer to the event, I'll start trying to collate some of the ad hoc teams early, maybe save us all a bit of bother at the event itself.

Ben, We're still weighing some options about the battlemaps this year. Rest assured that if we go with pre-printed ones, you'll be the first asked to make 'em up for us. given the recent financial troubles of GenCon LLC, will Peter be able to afford your services as hall monitor again this year?
