Re: Favorite 0-Level Funnel?
Doom of the Savage Kings, if you can get your hands on it. That and Sailors are the best funnels I've run. Also, Attack of the Frawgs is pretty good -- and it's slated to be extended with the Larvik Island rewrite for DCC. You might also try *cough* Sepulcher of the Mountain God... but that's just m...

Re: dwarfy town
I don't recall running across one. It seems like all the dwarven city/fortresses are abandoned and taken over by monsters... Maybe there was a huge sub-prime mortgage scandal in ancient times that drove all the dwarves from their true homes...

Re: Re-upped my Crawl! sub for 6 more issues.
I used the link in the blog post, I think I did it right, Dak. Cool, I think so. Just making sure you, as in you all use the link if you already have a subscription. There'll be mistakes, but I can usually tell what's going on. I made the new buttons to help me, honestly. Issue 6 hasn't dropped yet...

Yep -- WOTC re-released it for free... Crap -- they used to have a bunch of the old stuff on their site for free (L2, etc). Guess they want to sell them now. The wikipedia link still works for B2, though.
That's funny -- I never realized that the module was completely re-written.

Re: Carcosa
I love Carcosa and plan to utilize it for a short stint in another dimension in my existing campaign. But, part of me wants to try running it with the rules provided. I do think it fits the feel of DCC, for sure, but as you can see I haven't quite figured out yet how I want to present it to my play...

Love it. I played a short session of X-Plorers (as part of a weird circumstance within a DCC game), and it played very well. Like the concept.

Re: Where is the DCC Crowd heading to in 2013... (Con-wise)
I'm necroing this thread as Goodman Games DCC convention itinerary is out now. I'm personally still leaning towards NTRPGCon - 2013 in Dallas, but not entirely decided yet. Anybody else have new/definite plans ? Just signed up for NTRPGCon -- but their scheduled games do NOT currently include DCC s...

Re: Patrons supplement Kickstarter live!
I like it very much. I would buy a second & third volume. Id like to see a bigger variety of types of Patrons. Evil nasty ones seem alot easier. Maybe some more neutral or even slightly benevolent Patrons. That was my experience. I have four that are strictly benevolent, but benevolence does no...

Re: An attempt at Demogorgon as a patron
A highly personal quibble (and very much one of personal taste), but I'd also change any references to "tanar'ri" to "demons". The whole change of demons to tanar'ri, devils to baatezu, and daemons to yuguloth in 2e was a reaction to the Satanic Panic of the period, an attempt t...

Re: An attempt at Demogorgon as a patron
Very cool. I really like this: 3.) The prince of demons laughs at your miserable mortal existence and lashes out with his tail. The caster ages 1d4 years and suffers normal spell burn This may be a bit too powerful for the low Spell Check results. But you can mitigate it with some free Patron Taint:...

Thanks for the kind words guys -- looks like we have some typos to sniff out. Well, I've also done a ton of partial patrons, who didn't make it into the book because of space. Paul has a few too. But I imagine that Sean will want to see how the first book is received before committing to a second. I...

Oh well, at least the healing spells in this book will be good inspiration for my own cleric-patron system that I plan on creating one day. Yep, I was thinking the same thing when I included them -- I wanted a healing power with some really nasty side effects. Just remember, calling on your patron ...

I just got paid for some RPG writing -- which means that my RPG buying budget has just expanded. Maybe I'll grab...
