Jeff, that'd be awesome. Let me know what you find. My nearest gaming store is 3.5 hours away and over 2 mountain passes. :)

I'm also thinking of ordering the Warbands Minotaur produced by WoTC.

Yup, Superfan is doing the "Halls of the Minotaur," too. :) Can't freakin' wait to see what he comes up with. Now I need to find myself a kick-butt minotaur mini to scare the pants off the PCs.

Mythfish! Sorry to hear you won't make it.

Luckily no, although there are several people in the party that are pretty new players. They're scared to death of stirges now I can tell you that! Heh. :) That sort of thing will scar you for life. Twenty years from now they'll still remember stirges. I wonder if there is a D&D mock-up of the ...

There will be signings all weekend long at the Goodman Games booth. My name just made that other list because of a group signing I'm doing with some Forgotten Realms authors. I don't pretend to be in the same game (or league, or ballpark...) as those other writers. They're the masters, and I'm the k...

:)

People might think we built the world from scratch, but really all of it is derived from the world you guys sculpted. Both #25 and #26 have entire areas born out of their backstory.

But you know that already. After all, you're the devious writer who created it.

Jedi, Thanks for the vote of confidence. If I had to pick a favorite module, it would be Into the Wilds; I'm eager to see if it stands up to your scrutiny. My only concern is that there are 1 or 2 encounters where if the PCs charge in with the "I'll hack it till it dies because it must be my en...

You're trip sounds like a good time. Wish I could play. :) #28 starts with a bang (the patented "Roll for initiative!") but then goes into a minor town exploration (ala the Keep in Caves of Chaos/Keep on the Boderlands), giving beginning players the chance to get their feet on the ground. ...

This is so fun to see. I wouldn't expect anyone to change their home game to match DCC world, but both #25 & #26 were crucial when we were building the world. Bits of the Known World are coming to light.

Love it.

Would it be possible for you to provide a preview in the form of a world map? This would allow me to start my players on a DCC world campaign that I could further deepen once DCC World is released. At least with a map I could ensure that my geography is correct and could start tying together my DCC...

I'd second Jeff's response. I don't expect to see any changes in the style, tone or portability of new DCCs. All the DCCs (even going back to Rat King ) have back stories, but we always make sure that the stories are easy to transplant* to your home world. For instance, Rat King is set in Silverton ...

Well, that's the best part: the writing is all done.

Now it's in the process of being edited and illustrated. Baring disaster, it will be released at GenCon Indy. Leave extra space in your luggage because it will be a thick box. :)

Yellow Lantern, Cool name, btw. Back in the day we had a monk in our home game named Yellow Beetle. Don’t know how that guy survived, but he always did. Re: Retro Classes. Jeff did a fantastic job building from (and beneath, and under and over) the work begun in the Emerald Cobra. So often the exotic regions of a eurocentric world feel like they were just tacked on, but since we had the Emerald Cobra from the start, the setting is integral to the rest of the world. It...

Heh. This was one of the things we ran into early on. Some writer -who will remain nameless- decided to place his adventure in the "Great Swamp." Sure. Good idea at the time. Not so good when it comes time to draw up the map. "Great swamp? Place it next to the Great Desert. It will be...

Sorry. That sounds like an editing typo/sloppy writing on my part. I need to check my manuscript at home, but I can run down the issue right here: The Crypt has a bunch of exposed mechanisms. The first thing players might do is toss a rock in the works and declare the trap defunct. This is not true,...
