Re: OAR and Fantasy Grounds Unity
I started running OAR Castle Amber yesterday using Fantasy Grounds. Since I was running it "in person" I primarily used it for the maps with a sweet embedded tv in the table, i.e. no combat tracker just using it for the maps (which I found someone made some jpegs). I didn't have a lot of p...

Re: Spells, and what to do with them.... [long]
You can put me in the: "like charts" column and the "doesn't like the layout" column. Too much empty space in the spell stats area (double columns and get rid of the formatted grid lines around the first 5 stats - it just draws your eyes right to the massive emptiness). Center th...

This is going to really sound strange. It's been so long since I've bought a boxed set but it has the same smells from the boxed sets when I was a kid. The box is jammed back to the brim. Not much room for stuffing character sheets and your own stuff. That is probably the only complaint. The maps ar...

Now I sit in my hotel room (I have my son with me so going to the parties tonight may be a little tough:) ) reading my DCC #35 and all I have to say. Is my son made up his first character to play in that awesome setting. We're even procrastinating making our Living Greyhawk characters to make the DC...

Did you ever play GDQ1 or any of the individual giant series (not trying to be snarky:) :) )? The supermodule had a 34-36 page mini book with all the stats for all the monster entries. If memory serves (I'm too lazy to go down the basement right now) there are rooms with 40 or 50 trolls, or 20 hill ...

That's the beauty of this type of product. I remember when I was first starting to play at the FLGS (Fantasy Isle in Fond du Lac, WI) there was a campaign called Lemkehawk, which was Greyhawk run by a fellow whose last name was - Lemke. That's what I loved about Greyhawk. A relatively common backgro...

If we look back on the history of the supermodule there was: T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil. This module was sparked by T1 Village of Homlet and was hinted at being continued by Gygax but never was. Along comes the mid-eighties and TSR comes out with T1-4 ToEE which includes the original T1 and ...

SuperModules in the future for DCCs?
Once DCC #35 comes out will there be any supermodule like the old 128 pager A1-4 Secret of the Slavers Stockade, GDQ1 (Giant Series), etc?
