Re: Anything else?

I agree; I've used Wizard's Tower and Arm-Ripper in my current Pathfinder campaign. I'd buy more!

Re: Luck

In 2e days, I added two custom stats - Perception (prefiguring the Spot/Search/etc of 3e) and Luck. It worked out really well, it was used for "who stepped on the trap" or "is there an improvised weapon in reach" kinds of things, but we never felt like it was more or less importa...

Re: Designer's Blog #3: What Do You Mean, "Vancian"?

Not to get back on topic, but I love the idea of having to roll for spells. I'm not as sold on having every single spell be its own minigame, but variability, yes.

Hey don't forget to go post this on the Paizo 3pp forum to promote it, I reckon it'll get some interest!

Re: XCrawl Questions

Schnell!

Hey, is the new XCrawl still normal 3.5 d20, or related to DCC, or its own thing? I see older threads about "3.5 plus stuff" but wondered if that still held. No strong feeling on which, just wondering.

Re: XCrawl Questions

Oh, you can get endorsements between levels? I just have the corebook and some of the crawls, not whatever that sourcebook on fame/endorsements/whatnot was. I agree with your home rule, and think that the crowd being with you is worth actual performance bonuses in the Mojo vein as well. I'd like to ...

Re: XCrawl Questions

Hey, thanks for the response! 1. Question - amping the crowd gets you "temporary Fame." Is Mojo just temp fame now, or what benefit does temporary Fame confer? In the old rules, it's "nothing," I think. 2. There should be some "medical cost" as a penalty for near-death,...

XCrawl Questions

Hey, I recently got XCrawl and some of the crawls and ran Dungeonbattle Brooklyn. I had some questions come up though, maybe people can help me with them. 1. Grandstanding and mugging. It seems like there's a lot of rules surrounding these, but is the only game effect really "make 5 in a row to...

Re: Paizo Sale!

Woot, I got like 5 XCrawl books from them and found the rulebook in a nearby Half Price Books, so now I'm an XCrawler! Looks like a fun game.

Eldritch Questions!

So I just heard about ERP today and had a number of questions. I'm a big fan of y'all's Wicked Fantasy Factory line, by the way, own them all. 1. The first cut of reading about it (more narrative, stats measured in dice) seems a bit like Savage Worlds. Why a new system and not use SW or something el...

Feedback on "Juice Up Your Game" rules

So I really like the impulse behind these, being an old Feng Shui fan. I do have some concerns/suggestions about the specific implementations though. Mook rules - The problem here is that part of the beauty of the original mook rules (Feng Shui) was that you didn't have to track hp for mooks. Part o...
