This is the only Duet adventure I know of for DCC, but you could certainly write your own, or just give the player a whole party to control.

Re: The Corpse That Love Built - PbP
Obadiah gapes at the sight, then begins mumbling to himself and counting on his fingers. "Hell of a place he's built there. Never seen the like. I can't even figure out how much he must owe in property tax to the reeve on something like that! The scaffolding permits alone... certainly more than...

Re: First PBP Funnel of 2020: The Gig at the Wizard's Tower
The creature seems to appreciate the flattery, as far as a massive troglodytic dragon can look appreciative... but it keeps one wary eye on Shifty an Shaky. "PERHAPS we have something that could aid you... but these treasures are OURS and are not given lightly! Clear the library or the pantry,...

"SILENCE MORTALS!!!!" the creature's voice echoes. "Exterminators, eh? Come to seek a quest from us? Well, the MIGHTY UNDERDRAGON does not suffer PESTS to live in our chamber. But we might have certain tasks that are BENEATH our noble DIGNITY.... yesss... that we might engage your se...

"Good show, gentlemen!" Then, quietly, "Why do you suppose the other two didn't attack? " "Who can say? Strange creatures... err... contraptions, perhaps? Nonetheless, I say we should chuck em off the wall before touching that windlass, just to be safe." He massages hi...

Re: The Corpse That Love Built - PbP
Obadiah lets out a stream of curses as the club strikes him, and lashes out with his spear, aiming low in an attempt to strike the thing and then flip it over on its back like a crab.

Re: First PBP Funnel of 2020: The Gig at the Wizard's Tower
As they turn to leave the room, the "brotherhood of the sword" notices an odd resistance from the blade, as if its weight is shifting to prevent them from turning it. It seems almost like it does not want to leave this room. The point drags on the ground and seems at its heaviest pointing...

Re: First PBP Funnel of 2020: The Gig at the Wizard's Tower
/ooc sorry for the delays guys- looking back at this now I'm not 100% sure what actions were intended. I see Dejah was trying to sneak further into the room, and Ankh was trying to head back down the passageway, but did anyone actually intend say the sword's activiation phrase or are you still waffl...

Re: The Corpse That Love Built - PbP
Obadiah assumes the windlass probably operates the gates or something, and since everyone's up on the wall, not much use there. He supresses a chuckle when he sees the mannequins. Clearly the watchmen didn't want to stand around all night in the rain, and came up with the trick to fool their boss in...

Re: The Corpse That Love Built - PbP
Obadiah looks the rope up and down, frowns, and sighs quietly, not really enjoying physical exertion. But he grabs hold and hauls himself up as well.

Re: First PBP Funnel of 2020: The Gig at the Wizard's Tower
"Crom's toenails — I knew we should've gone east," grumbles Mercer through gritted teeth. Does the skeletal figure seem to react to us? Is it moving in any way? The skeleton, like the other assorted bones and bits in the rubble, remains motionless. Sally takes a good, long, look at the re...

Re: First PBP Funnel of 2020: The Gig at the Wizard's Tower
The group quickly heads south through a narrow, damp passage. The blob can't keep up. After traveling down the winding passage, the rumbling noise gets louder and louder. The group holding the sword feel it shifting its weight forward, almost as if it is encouraging you down this path. After a few ...

Re: The Corpse That Love Built - PbP
Obadiah looks the wreckage of the clay man up and down as he tugs out his spear. "Well, this is some odd magic. Someone built these buggers, but didn't arm 'em. Not much of a soldier this, more like a guard dog. And ye don't build magic guards unless ye've got somethin to... well, guard, ye see...

"What the..." Obadiah mutters as he twists at his stuck spear. Ref save 1d20+1=4+1=5 (fail) He curses as the spear haft is snatched out of his hands, and reels back at the blow that comes down on his stabbin' arm from the other one. Obadiah is definitely slow, but he understands destructio...

No worries then! We can stay here. Sorry for my lack of commitment to this thread in the last few weeks. I'll try to keep it going now if everyone is still around. The oil flask thrown by Shaky goes flying towards the blob and hits it squarely, but rather than shattering on impact, it just sort of s...

It wouldn't need to be real-time... We could treat it just like this, with a publicly viewable channel that people post in when they can, with the benefit of a built-in dice roller. But I'm open to either way.

Really cool spell, and thanks for sharing that blog post. I have been running a campaign doing magic this way, with most of my players having never played an RPG, and it so far has been every bit as magical as he describes. DCC is perfect for an approach like this... The mercurial effects make spell...

Hi All. Sorry to slack off on this, I didn't realize folks were back! Do you guys want to continue here or move to a discord play-by-chat, now that discord is a thing? I think we've lost ManjoBan who can't seem to get the GG forums to work. If we stay here I'll see if I can't find someone to take ov...

Thanks for jumping in, Judge Y! Do I take it rightly that "push back" or knock prone" is your Deed with that attack? Also, if you want to have "already spent" any of that gp on additional equipment, go right ahead... Yep, I'll be more specific about the deed next time. I'll...
