Re: MCC Resources for Your Game
There was another Kickstarter recently that funded Unveiled Elisions by James A. Pozenel & Donn Stroud and Scions of the Computarchs . New Patron AI, a point-buy PSH class, mounts and more. It's still being worked on so I'm not sure when it will be available to non-backers but soon-ish. The Scio...

Re: You Found an Artifact! Now What?
One thing I have heard from others and experienced a little myself when running MCC, is that players will start hoarding the artifacts until they have a better chance of success, which is smart but seems kind of against the spirit of the game. What are some ways to encourage players to take the risk...

Re: Revised A-B-C's of Shaman Programs (One More Look at How to Run Shamans) -- Big Change in Approach (Simpler)
So, a level 1 shaman with a 16 Int (+1 wetware programs) rolls a 25 on their Patron AI Bond check with ACHROMA. According to the Bond check, they get Invoke Patron AI and a single wetware program. But with their 16 Int you would grant them a second wetware program? If so, which one?

Re: MCC House Rules in Your Game (Updated to v5 on 12/14/20)
Just a quick note to say Thank You to Melfast for sharing so much MCC goodness here! I've been away from the forums for a bit and missed many of your posts but want you to know they're very appreciated!

Re: MCC 2nd Edition Core Book Errata and Rules Omissions/Suggestions for a 3rd Printing of the MCC Core Book
Yep, good discussion and, from my perspective, done with an enjoyment of the game (and currently playing). 1) I've picked up all the official and 3rd party stuff I discover-whether its Umerica, Scientific Barbarian, Enchiridion, Wampler's other books,or Gongfarmer's Almanac. The future looks solid f...

Re: MCC 2nd Edition Core Book Errata and Rules Omissions/Suggestions for a 3rd Printing of the MCC Core Book
Good points! There are a few other miscellaneous things I have found that also need clarification-and I've only started playing recently. For instance the Telekinesis mutation says it works with "the equivalent force of a X Strength" but there's nothing in MCC or DCC that gives weight allo...

Re: Extended Additional Beginning Equipment
This is great! I was just having a discussion about this very subject on the MCC Facebook group this morning and then I found your post. I was saying how I didn't think a cloak should stack with armor. I'm not a fan of a cloak+armor+helmet+shield combo. To be honest, I'm not sure I like having a hel...

Re: The A-B-C's of Determining Your Shaman's Programs
Perfect! Saved it to my google drive and it works perfectly. Awesome work! Thank you. In regards to question 1, check out page 10 "MCC RPG Rules Mechanics of Note" the third bullet. I was reading the book over again this morning. Shamans may or may not lose their wetware programs from memo...

Re: The A-B-C's of Determining Your Shaman's Programs
Thanks for putting this together and I agree with every one of your examples (which also makes ME feel good about my understanding.) The autofill sheet is not enabled for others to use it-I'm not sure if you intended that or not. As far as your questions: 1) Should all the Shaman programs except Inv...

Re: Definitions of Tech Levels
Hi, Just learning MCC myself but I'll give replying a shot here. I don't think Tech levels are objectively measured. They are "only used to generally categorize artifacts." So I think that's why you find weapons, armor, and medical equipment all at levels 4 and 5. If you look at examples o...

Still a little shaky on running a shaman
I read over what I could find here on the forums and it did help a little but I'm still kinda uncertain about my understanding. 1. At 1st level the player rolls on the Patron AI Bond table. That result basically determines the shaman's abilities moving forward. Roll low and you're kinda screwed with...

Late to the Party but Hello!
I just picked up MCC so I wanted to stop in and say Hello. I don't have too many questions at this point but will make one more post with a question in addition to this post. I know there will not be a 100% agreed upon answer to this but since some time has passed now since its release are there cer...

Re: New player with a few questions
No new questions today! I'm giving everyone a break. Thanks for confirming the additional damage question! If anyone is reviewing the kits (as I'm calling them) I just added the dwarf. Still need to add cleric spells and complete the 0-level kit, elf and wizard. I think they will be handy to have pr...

Re: New player with a few questions
I really do appreciate you both checking in so frequently and answering my questions. I realize most of this stuff is little and not game-breaking but I figure I might as well ask and even learn something new! I added the warrior pdf. I think it came out pretty good. Of course when I was putting it ...

Re: New player with a few questions

Re: New player with a few questions
Good suggestion, Thanks! I added that along with the Disapproval table that I forgot, and also a note on the first page about cleric spell selection options (random, up to Judge, player picks, etc.). I'm going to add the spells next. I added an explanation of the Luck die mechanic to the thief and c...

Re: New player with a few questions
Thank you @gnomeboy and @raven_crowking for helping clarify the rules and giving me your thoughts. I really like the idea of the "DEAD" stamp and the big d20 and maybe some other fun ideas will pop up once I start playing. I did see that reference doc which is really helpful. I am actually...

Re: New player with a few questions
@gnomeboy Thanks again. Just when I didn't think I had any more rules questions I found a few more as I was reading about wizard and thieves again today. Wizards 1. Patrons have their own spellburn section-but I couldn't tell if that section was only used when a wizard used spellburn to invoke patro...

Re: New player with a few questions
Thanks @gnomeboy! 1. It'd be 1d6 + 1d16 & 1d12 + 1d12, Ah! So they can use 2WF for EACH action die! Very cool and that makes sense. Lots of different combinations. I'm just going to stick with my interpretation of the rules and only have two-handed weapons affect initiative. NEW QUESTION: I have...

Re: New player with a few questions
Well...I have continued to listen to the Spellburn podcast and its made me more confident in my understanding of the game-which is great! To be honest, I really didn't have many questions which speaks, I think to the simplicity of the rules. The podcast on halflings did generate two new questions th...

Re: New player with a few questions
I guess I do have one question today. Mithril. I see older threads about it but wanted to revisit it to see if over the years any more of an official answer or consensus has been reached. A 1st level elf can buy mithril armor and a weapon but there is no statistical advantage over iron armor other t...

Well @Raven_Crowking you have been a fantastic source of information! Thank you! I listened to the podcast and it did answer the one question I had about spell duels so that's good. PLUS I learned about the Spellburn podcast and I'm really looking forward to listening to more episodes. Even just the...
