How do you introduce and run "Quest for It"?

(Crossposted to google plus https://plus.google.com/108824308973432510135/posts/eeNATeFg5zJ ) I tried to do a vaguely "Quest For It" structure in a B/X campaign I ran a while ago. I don't think I explained it very well, and it didn't end up being heavily used. In that campaign, I frequentl...

Re: Into the Borderlands PDF?

It's decent enough that I will be combining what's new in "Into the Borderlands", with the new stuff in "Return to the KotB" and an 1E version of B2, plus some other 3rd party module enhancements. You can use some of what's here for sure, but the baseline content is full of prob...

Re: Economics and keeping the PC's poor.

How does this interact with encounter XP in your games? It seems like DCC advancement is, overall, quite a bit faster than B/X D&D or 1e/2e AD&D. And that's OK by me, but if I take encounter XP and add on treasure XP, then they may well shoot right up the chart. Or is that not typically what...

Re: Into the Borderlands PDF?

Sadly this puts a nail into the coffin of buying any more of these series. Frankly the 5e expanded content in Into the Borderlands isn't very good, the book is pretty unusable at the table, and the framing materiel of B1/B2 isn't worth the price of admission. On top of this I can't have a PDF format...
