MCC dice!

Oh man. Didn't see this coming. Now I'm not sure I can live without them, of course:

OK I mean I CAN live without them but, come on, one set GLOWS IN THE DARK.

Re: Anyone playing in Indianapolis?

I should be pretty flexible on time that day, thank you for asking. My wife and I had some errands to run today and I got a visit to the Saltire store on our list. I have to say, it's a really nice store. They have a couple small rooms (probably could seat 8 apiece) set aside for RPGs and then a lar...

Re: Anyone playing in Indianapolis?

No strong preference between the stores here; Family Time is closer to where I live than Saltire, but either should be fine. I've never been to Saltire but Family Time (based on my one brief visit) looked like it had a pretty good setup for players.

Re: Indianapolis DCC RPG and Future Lankhmar...

Wow how did I not see this before I posted Thursday?

I'm hoping someone runs a Road Crew game in a shop here. I know in theory "someone" could be me but, I gotta walk before trying to run, if you know what I mean.

favorite lesser-known Appendix N reads?

What are some of your personal faves from among the lesser known titles of Appendix N? I will share some of mine. I love The Face in the Frost by John Bellairs. It is one of my favorite books, period. I was so saddened to read the abandoned sequel, where the story is left on a depressing note, not t...

Re: Anyone playing in Indianapolis?

I saw that - I would play if scheduling works out but am not up to running a game. I actually went to Family Time Games for the first time today. I didn't see any DCC RPG stuff there at the moment, though it's a nice store otherwise. They did have 4-5 copies of the recent Judge's Guild reprint book,...

Re: The Original Appendix N (reposted)

Dang Judge Perky, thanks for posting that! I had completely forgotten that list... seeing it now it answers the question of where I first heard of some of those authors! I remembered the AD&D Appendix N, and the Runequest Appendix N, but I completely forgot that list existed!

Re: Introductions Thread - Join the Band!

I thought I did this already but, apparently not. My TL;DR origin story! I grew up in small town southwestern Ohio, and was pretty much always a big bookworm. My mom got me interested in comic books, Tolkien, Lovecraft (no, really) and Star Trek at a young age. In sixth grade I read The Lord of the ...

Re: Appendix N: For a New Generation - What is your list?

A caveat is, these are supplemental to the existing body of Appendix N, not a replacement. Abercrombie, Joe Adams, Richard: Watership Down, Shardik, Maia Alexander, Lloyd: The Chronicles of Prydain Christopher, John: The Sword of the Spirits trilogy Cook, Glen: The Black Company series King, Stephen...

Anyone playing in Indianapolis?

Just wondering once more if anyone is playing, or planning to play, DCC RPG in or near Indianapolis, IN...? And if you are if you might be looking for another player.

Sorry Goshen, you're just too far away. :)
