'Hound of Hirot' has, so far, been a resounding success with my three players. There are opportunities for roleplaying if any of your players are into that sort of thing, than, say, 'Sailors', which is a straight-up crawl.

A friend of a friend brought his 3.0 or 3.5 core books to school when I was 13 or 14, and I happened to flip the MM randomly open to the gelatinous cube... Rest is history haha.

Thanks for the tips guys! I ended up having three players, who each had three characters. And to be doubly protected I wrote my monstrously long playthrough post in an email first, juuust to be safe haha. I have a feeling hirelings are going to get a lot of use before the Hound is finally vanquished...

I should add that we covered a lot more ground than this; before our next session I'll write up the rest of it to get myself up to speed, etc. I'd be curious to see what other, more experienced folks think of how I handled combat and our journey through the woods to the Tomb...
