Re: Updated PDF's

Our group has been playing together for 34 years and we know each other fairly well. Unfortunately given a rule set allowing flexibility it gets taken to extremes and then arguments about it being in the rules by which point there is no point to playing. Not really a complaint I am lucky to have a g...

Re: Updated PDF's

Not so much the gross out as spell design degenerated from there, armor to butter which also heated the casters sword and others. I am not terribly serious about my hobby but I didn't want to run a WB cartoon show either. The Dungeon and Dragons cartoon or Thundar would work. You know Eldritch might...

Updated PDF's

Hey Dan, I was surprised ERP was updated and then psyched to see you were doing a kickstarter revised version. As much as I like ERP it never caught on with my group and I had kind of forgot about it. With the kickstarter as a reminder I dug it out and am seriously thinking about trying it with the ...

Re: Print vs. PDF

I am blessed in that we have a rotating group of 3 GM's and it isn't Ray's turn yet but he is planning on running ERP. He is getting used to the system (ie realizing it is simplier than we make it out to be), So far Characters and combat are things he likes, right now he is dealing with the magic sy...

Print vs. PDF

I have both the PDF and a dead tree version of ERP, I gave the printed version to the best DM in our group to see if he would run it. Good news for you he bought the PDF however his reason made me wonder about something. He bought the PDF because he has been reading the board and wanted to make sure...

Re: Designers Blog #2: Character Creation in ERP

Well I ashamed to say I figured out what my difficulty with the magic system was, It's really easy to make spells. <sigh> The tight rope spell is the transport effect it lets him move in way he couldn't without magic. There is one mechanic to cast spells so you only need to list the power source and...

Re: Designers Blog #2: Character Creation in ERP

This is a long post as it is the process me and my player are going through to build his character. I am stuck on his 2 spells though. Well in truth I am stuck on the first one and haven't looked at the second one. Spell 1 - a magic tightrope something he can create that will work just like a real t...

Re: Designers Blog #2: Character Creation in ERP

I bought the PDF although if I can get my acouple of my group to go along withplaying I am plan on getting the hard copy. I gave up running because 3.5 is to much work in my lazy opinion. I have looked at my stack of 2E books but don"t really want to step back and I don't think my group would. ...

Re: Designers Blog #2: Character Creation in ERP

Thanks for answering although thinking about what I was actually trying to represent as tinkering was doing minor repairs to a wide range of stuff including tradional tinker metalcraft so I decided Handicraft D6< Repairs D6 He is okay at making stuff but really good at repairing already made stuff. ...

Re: Designers Blog #2: Character Creation in ERP

Hi All, I am getting ready to try and run ERP and had some questions. I was making the lead NPC for the first session and to practice did him as a PC. Fendrick The Half Orc Tinker/Peddlar Adv & Disavd Low Light Vision Sense of direction ADC's Handicrafts D6<Cobbler D4 <Tinker D4 Endurance D6<Wal...

Re: DCC #35: Gazetteer of the Known Realms

I'll engage in wishful thinking and hope I am wrong but, Are there dead tree versions available, or is the description under the adventure finder only there for completeness? I do own the PDF but I wouldn't mind spending the $70 for a physical copy if available.

Thanks,
Warren
