It’s the 80’s. You’re recent graduates from the Raimi School of Film. You’ve decided to make a name for yourselves by documenting an investigation of the Shattered Woods. A mysterious, scary, dangerous, woods that weird shit happens in and people tend to never return from. Sounds like a great idea, right? Fortunately, a friend knows a guy who knows dwarf who knows a halfling that knows a lady who runs a diner right smack on the edge of the woods. She even has a shack you can stay in so long as you complete some…odd…jobs for her while you shoot your film. You’re currently on your way to The Dying God Diner. Your Greyhound stops out front. By the door is a tall muscular woman with dark black hair smoking a cigarrette. As you step off, she throws her cigarette down and stamps it out. “You the ones filming the porn in the woods?” Too taken aback to correct her you stand there slack jawed. She sighs, “Come on in…” as she walks to the door and opens it for you…
This adventure is written as a depth crawl into the woods where the terror and danger increases exponentially as you continue. I expect it to take at least a few sessions but we could make a long campaign out of it. It will be treated as a funnel for at least the first session and then everyone will get to level using the Stratosfiend classes in the many source books. Hubris classes could also have a place here.
