Last Chance for Peril on the Purple Planet Kickstarter!

Peril on the Purple Planet
This weekend is your last chance to get in on the Kickstarter for Harley Stroh's Peril on the Purple Planet.
  • It just passed its NINTH stretch goal. The boxed set will include a GM screen specific to the Purple Planet! This is on top of all the previous stretch goals: The Purple Underplanet, Magic of the Purple Planet, Mysteries of the Purple Planet detailing at least 50 adventure hooks and random encounters, the 12 pages of player handouts, the expanded Ecology of the Kith, and the Tombs of the Ancients chapter in the campaign guide that is being expanded with a fifth mini-dungeon! And of course this is in addition to the basic adventure module (with gatefold map and wraparound three-panel cover), and the starting booklets: Bestiary of the Purple Planet, Lost Tech of the Ancients, and Tombs of the Ancients. All crammed into one awesome box!
  • You can support this Kickstarter by adding on other adventure modules from the Dungeon Crawl Classics line, most of which are on sale for 20% off as part of this Kickstarter. You can also add on Purple Planet Player Guides at $5 each.
  • Cool add-on items include the Purple Planet Poster: an image of the cover art with logos/text removed, approximately 36" wide x 15" tall. Also the collectible button: a simple button 1-1/4" wide x 2-3/4" tall, with the "front image" of the cover art. (Our second collectible button, after the one for Chained Coffin.) And see the blurb below about point-five modules!

If you are not yet convinced, listen to the most recent episode of Spellburn, where the Judges talk to special guest Harley Stroh about the project!

DCC RPG After Dark!

If you weren't able to get in to any of the official DCC RPG games, don't worry. We've got you covered.

Every evening at approximately 8pm, the DCC RPG fans will gather and play. Lots of games will be run, including Escape From Catastrophe Island, a multi-DM extravaganza that continues from night to night. Also known as "Doug Con" for those in the know...

To find out where and when the games will be happening each night, ask at the Goodman Games booth (#525), talk to Doug Kovacs in the Art Show area, or consult the DCC RPG Google+ group.

Dragora's Dungeon
New Releases Galore!

We have so many products releasing at Gen Con, it's hard to keep track of them. The printers are packing boxes this week, and here's what we'll be unpacking hot off the press when we get to the Gen Con booth next week! (Note: If you're a Kickstarter backer, make sure you've emailed us so we will have your copy reserved and waiting! Some titles will only be available to the general public after Kickstarter advances are filled.)
Plus we'll have a number of "off-book" items. Some special Gen Con beer mugs, T-shirts, and dice bags; and some extra swag items from the World Tour Kickstarter. Shot glasses, anyone? And some warehouse finds -- some rare and old product in limited supply. Maybe a couple other things, too. Sure hope that mystery shipment from Asia arrives in time. Come by the booth to find out what all is there!

What's New With Goodman Games? Find Out at Gen Con!

We have two exciting announcements planned for Gen Con. What are they? Only one way to find out: attend our "What's New With Goodman Games" seminar! It's Friday night at 8:00 PM (Crowne Plaza, Conrail Stn room, SEM1462141). As some of you know from prior experience, our con seminars are a lot of fun. The whole gang will be there, discussing the projects they're working on. And of course, we announce new products. At Gary Con we were joined by special guest James M. Ward to announce our Metamorphosis Alpha deluxe collector's edition (click here to watch that video). For Gen Con, we have some exciting announcements planned related to deluxe hardcovers. And these announcements require not one, but two special guests! You won't want to miss this seminar.

Storyteller's Thesaurus
The Storyteller's Thesaurus

Our friends at Troll Lord Games are Kickstarting a new book that will be of use to many: The Storyteller's Thesaurus.
Writers, game designers, teachers, and students -- this is the book you've been waiting for! Written by storytellers for storytellers, the Storyteller's Thesaurus offers an entirely new approach to finding that word you always need! Words that are crucial in fantasy, history, and horror.

No other thesaurus is like this: the Storyteller's Thesaurus names weapons, armor, magical items, mystical creatures, symbols, treasures, and descriptive terms essential for any genre. There are usage notes and writing tips to clarify and expand. The authors draw from decades of work to target areas of concern for beginning writers as well as experienced authors.

And it's co-written by James M. Ward, of Metamorphosis Alpha fame!
