Metamorphosis Alpha: Epsilon City Kickstarter
One Week Left For The $40 Hardcover Boxed Set!

Epsilon City
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the world's first sci-fi RPG!
  • It's going to be a boxed set! With a hardcover inside! For only $40! The price will go up once we're past the Kickstarter. This is your chance to get in early at an affordable price!
  • We've cleared several stretch goals already. In addition to the 128 pages of material in the main book, we've added 64 more pages of adventures and setting information! And Mr. James M. Ward keeps asking to add dice. He's a charming guy and hard to resist...
  • This hardcover book will utilize a traditional 8.5"x11" page size, and use a unique hidden spiral binding. This special format is uncommon in game publications and allows the book's pages to lie flat even when completely opened. This makes the book extremely useful as a tabletop play aid.
  • You can support this Kickstarter by adding on other Metamorphosis Alpha products. If you missed out on the Kickstarter for the Metamorphosis Alpha Collector's Edition, you can get any of the items from that Kickstarter as an add-on to this one. The colored armbands from that Kickstarter are available as well!
  • Additionally, the funds from this Kickstarter will be used to print a softcover, tabletop-usable version of the Metamorphosis Alpha Collector's Edition. This softcover edition will be approximately 96 pages and will contain most (but not all) of the material in deluxe hardcover, including the original 1976 rules and all of the rules expansion material.

This Kickstarter ends September 2nd, so pledge now!

Goodman Games at Gen Con
GG Crew
Gen Con was a smashing success for Goodman Games this year! With scads of new products, two tournaments, informative seminars, and hours of gaming (both on the books and off), it was a great time for Goodman Games fans and employees alike.

Congrats to our tournament winners!
Nexus Winners

Death By Nexus

Death By Nexus was a 0-level DCC RPG funnel tournament. The tournament judging was based on zero-level characters surviving as many encounters as possible.

The winners:
1st Place -- Jason Stierle (wearing the tournament belt!)
2nd Place -- Haley Skach
3rd Place -- Brian Martin (not pictured)

The tournament was run by Jim Wampler (on the right).
Dagon winners

Enter the Dagon

Enter the Dagon was a DCC RPG spell duel tournament by Harley Stroh. The tournament judging was based on winning as many consecutive spell duels as possible.

The winners:
Champion -- Mike Markey (wearing the tournament belt!)
Finalists -- Nita Bittman, Connor Skach, Aaron Koelman

The tournament was run by Harley Stroh (on the right).

Xcrawl winners

The championship Xcrawl team survived the game with the fewest player deaths and least resources used. Congrats to them!

The tournament was run by Brendan LaSalle (bottom left).

DCC RPG third printing sold out! Fourth printing on the way!
DCC Cover
At Gen Con, we sold our last copies of the third printing of DCC RPG!

That means it's time for us to start working on the fourth printing! The third printing had the slipcover edition as well as the regular edition, and we at Goodman Games want to do a special edition fourth printing as well. So we ask: What do YOU want in the 4th printing?

Here are some of our ideas: thumb tabs like on a dictionary; spiral-bound stay-flat binding hidden inside the hardback binding; sewn-in ribbon bookmarks; gilded edges; perhaps an alternate cover.

Which ideas do you like best? What else should we include?

Visit our forums and let us know what you want!
