Xcrawl: Murder Mountain Smackdown

A new class of Xcrawl hopefuls dare to challenge a fledgling DJ and his untested menagerie. But there may be more to this adventure than meets the eye. This is a zero-level character funnel/ play-with-the-creator event.

The Counting House of Port Perdusz (DCC Dying Earth)
Hosts: Julian Bernick
Five intrepid adventurers have undertaken the heist of the aeon! All they have to do is break into the counting house of this remote port and abscond with a token desired by an esteemed oligarch. Whatever else they find is theirs! The adventurers are given all the keys they’ll need — what could go wrong? This is a Level 2 adventure for DCC Dying Earth.

This seminar will focus on the artwork that inspired the artists who worked on classic TSR products, and continues to inspire the art seen in Goodman Games products. Learn who our guest fantasy artists (see below) from past and present admire, and maybe find some new (old) artistic inspirations. We’ll include numerous graphic examples of pre-D&D artwork, as well as more modern fantasy works.

A panel of Goodman Games writers discuss how the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG differs from the granddaddy of role-playing games. Get advice on how to break out of the usual fantasy mode, embrace the unpredictable, and lean into the strange.

Tomb of the Savage Kings
Host: Stephen Newton
One of Portnelle’s most popular and wealthy socialites, the widow Zita Aztur, has frantically approached the PCs in a desperate plea for assistance to find her missing sister whom she believes has run off with a mysterious stranger.
This adventure pays homage to classic Mummy films. It has a few mature elements (consider it PG-13).

The Art of DCC RPG

Join a discussion of the evolution of DCC and its iconic art styles with Harley Stroh, Doug Kovacs, and others. Afterward, aspiring arists will have the opportunity to chat with the panelists one-on-one, and to show off their own portfolios to the art director for Goodman Games for a chance to add their style to the line and become part of the history.
