Lord Fowl has returned! And we all know what that means: All hail THANKSGIVING!
And despite The Year That Shall Not Be Named putting a damper on…well, everything, we still have a lot for which we give thanks. We’re having a Zoom-based gathering this year, so it’s different—but that doesn’t take away the purpose.
Thanksgiving is an important day. It’s a chance for us to reflect upon the things that have made our lives better and show the gratitude they are due. So today we at Goodman Games would like to give thanks to the founding fathers of role-playing, whose creativity and vision created our company. We also give thanks to the brilliant minds of Appendix N, who were acknowledged as the inspiration to those gaming forefathers and helped to forge a literary genre. And also to the great artists of the pulp magazine era, who collectively led us all to this great sandbox where we get to play.
And then, of course, we give a huge thanks to you. If you are reading this, you have made our lives better and shown that our vision of fun isn’t just a myopic view from our little home-offices and Zoom meetings.
