Friends of the Skull will no doubt be familiar with Ryan Harvey from issue 4 of Tales From the Magician’s Skull, or perhaps more recently from his excellent article on Robert E. Howard and the Weird Menace Pulps that is part of our online October lineup. What you may not have been aware of is that Ryan’s debut novel, Turn Over the Moon, is currently nearing the final approaches of a successful Kickstarter campaign, and here’s your chance to get it, and some other goodies, at a great price.
Set in the same world as Ryan’s tale from Tales From the Magician’s Skull #4, the land of Ahn-Tarqa is a land of prehistoric savagery where barbarism and dark science sorcery vie for power over decadent cities. A brave young orphaned woman, Belde, and her miniature pet dinosaur, Rint, may hold the key to freeing a world oppressed by a psychic burden called the Sorrow and saving humanity from ultimate self-destruction!
The novel is published by Dream Tower Media, and it’s not only already complete, but the kickstarter has also raised all of its funding and is currently racking up the stretch goals.
Running until the end of the month, October 31, there is still plenty of time to hop over to Kickstarter, read the full description of Ryan’s world and more about his future plans for continuing Ahn-Tarqa stories, and reserve a print or electronic copy of Turn Over the Moon, and perhaps some other ebooks, as well.
Be sure to check out the gamut of Sword and Sorcery fiction in the pages of Tales From The Magician’s Skull!
