The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner

Author Stephen Newton takes his players on a trip to the wild, wild west with his latest published adventure: The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner.
1869 California.
On a cool evening in the town of Los Castores, a lawyer summons a small group of strangers into his office. Obediah Felkner, a prominent resident and claim owner of a nearby quicksilver mine, has recently passed away from a mysterious illness. Surprisingly, a group of complete strangers has been named as his beneficiaries. The claim to Felkner’s mine could become theirs.
However, Felkner’s last will contains a peculiar condition: in order to claim the deed to the mine, the party must collect a holy relic known as the Hand of San Roque and deliver it to Felkner’s grieving widow before dawn. The artifact is rumored to be hidden somewhere in the old Mission San Roque, abandoned by the Spanish almost 40 years ago.
And should they refuse? The lawyer points out they, too, have contracted the same disease that claimed the life of Mr. Felkner, and the retrieval of the relic is their only hope if they wish to survive the mysterious deadly affliction.

A member of your gang awakens in an alleyway with foggy memories of a deal made, a job taken, a partner slain, and a heist planned. They struggle to remember the details, but you all agree that breaking into an abandoned temple should be a simple matter – in and out. Yet the heist is on a collision course with something sinister.
What begins as an easy job becomes anything but, as you confront cultists, vengeful spirits, and the servitors of a long-forgotten god. While seeking an easy score, you uncover a plan to strike a blow into the heart of Lankhmar, and no one is safe from the blasphemous plot. A choice needs to be made. Will you stand with the city, or risk letting it descend into chaos?
Curse the gods of Lankhmar for their cruel joke that, in the shadowed alleyways of Lankhmar, there is no such thing as a “simple matter.”

It was a little-known fact that the colonization starship Warden had many discrete safeguards and catastrophe protocols in place should complications arise during its long voyage. These safeguards proved insufficient to protect the Warden when it encountered the radiation cloud. When the ship’s computers analyzed the impending threat, the military A.I. enacted the Omicron Protocols, causing a portion of the ship’s dorsal hull to disengage. This portion, hidden within the Warden’s outer bulkhead, contains the classified military cantonment, code named “Level 0.”
Uncontrollably drifting through uncharted space, mankind’s first colonization starship Warden has survived for over 300 years. While floating through the interstellar dark, strange civilizations have arisen – mutant, human, and wolfoid. Battles have been fought, wars have been waged, and finally the end is near…if anyone survives. The moment has come to repair the Warden and return it on its course – or to disable it forever.
