The Lyrics to “Fireball Wizard”

If you were at Cyclops Con, you had the chance to see Dan the Bard perform And if you were at that performance you had the chance to hear Dan sing “Fireball Wizard”, the hilarious new DCC-themed song!

Sung to the tune of “Pinball Wizard” by The Who, the song was written by our own Bob Brinkman. Here are the complete lyrics to “Fireball Wizard.” I wonder if anyone will take up the challenge to send us a karaoke video of themselves singing this DCC song?

Fireball Wizard (to the tune of Pinball Wizard)
Lyrics By Bob Brinkman

Ever since I was a young boy
I heard adventure’s call
From Whiterock down to Punjar
I must have played them all
But I ain’t seen nothing like him
In any convention hall
That D-C-C RPG kid
Sure casts a hot fireball

He sits there like a statue
Becomes part of the game
Feels phlogistonic currents
Knows NPCs by name
He’s memorized the dice chain
Watches enemies as they fall
That D-C-C RPG kid
Sure casts a hot fireball

He’s a fifth level wizard, and playing is a blast
A fifth level wizard’s got such a potent cast

How do you think he does it? I don’t know!
What makes him so good?

Ain’t got no distractions
Never looking at his phone
Thanks to Halthrag Keep
He even plays alone
Always makes his luck check
Never seen him fall
That D-C-C RPG kid
Sure casts a hot fireball

I thought I was the gaming table king
But I just handed my judge’s screen to him

Even at my weekly table
He can beat my best
The party simply leads him in
And he just does the rest
He’s covered with corruption
But I’ve never seen him fall
That D-C-C RPG kid
Sure casts a hot fireball
