Every year, DCC loyalist and all-around great guy Dave Baity runs a charity event to help out a local no-kill cat shelter. And this year is no different. Dave sent us an article about this year’s event, which we share below. And don’t forget to keep your eyes open for Dave’s upcoming release, Dark Trails, so you can adventure DCC-style in the old west!
I’ve been so covered up with getting the upcoming “thick start” (thanks to Reid San Filippo for the catchy phrase) version of Dark Trails out that I haven’t had much time to focus on something most of you know to be near and dear to me.
Normally, I purchase all things nerdy throughout the year and raffle them off to help local no-kill shelters in my area. I’ve been so distracted with the Dark Trails RPG that I’ve dropped the ball on picking up items this year, soooo, as a quick remedy I purchased a ton of cool Goodman Products and plan to do the raffle over the next two weeks. You’ll find prize packages divided into four groups. Dungeon Crawl Classics, Lankhmar, Mutant Crawl Classics, and my own Dark Trails.
Last year I had to switch the name to Feline Lifeline because the lady that did Kits n Kats retired.
All you have to do to enter is spend $1. Each dollar gets you one ticket in the raffle. The more you enter, the more chances you have to win! I’ll have someone draw the winners on December 23rd, with the 1st winner getting 1st pick, 2nd getting 2nd pick, etc…
Every dollar donated goes to a deserving charity in my area. These folks foster cats/kittens, Feed feral colonies, and participate in TNR (trap, neuter, return). They give tirelessly in ways that most of us could never do, so this is my way of saying thanks.
Please consider throwing some bucks in for a chance to win a stack of books! I’ll cover shipping inside the US and a portion for those living outside of the country.
