Last Chance for DCC Kickstarter by Thick Skull Adventures!

The old west may have ended over 100 years ago, but you still have a few days to help with this Kickstarter!

Stephen Newton, the man behind Thick Skull Adventures, is finishing up his Kickstarter to support his third-party adventure, The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner, and we think you should be a part of it!

The adventure is designed for use with Dungeon Crawl Classics, and requires no rules outside of the core book to enjoy. However, as Stephen says on the Kickstarter home page, “it has been playtested with both David Baity’s upcoming Dark Trails RPG and Stormlord Publishing’s Black Powder, Black Magic DCC supplement with delightful results.”

What is this all about you may ask? Let’s find out what they say on their Kickstarter:

The year is 1869, California:

On a cool evening in the town of Los Castores, a lawyer summons a small group of strangers into his office. Obediah Felkner, a prominent resident and claim owner of a nearby quicksilver mine, has recently passed away from a mysterious illness. Surprisingly, a group of complete strangers has been named as his beneficiaries. The claim to Felkner’s mine could become theirs.

However, Felkner’s last will contains a peculiar condition: in order to claim the deed to the mine, the party must collect a holy relic known as the Hand of San Roque and deliver it to Felkner’s grieving widow before dawn. The artifact is rumored to be hidden somewhere in the old Mission San Roque, abandoned by the Spanish almost 40 years ago.

And should they refuse? The lawyer points out they, too, have contracted the same disease that claimed the life of Mr. Felkner, and the retrieval of the relic is their only hope if they wish to survive the mysterious deadly affliction.

So head on over to The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner Kickstarter and show them some love!

Let us now move out of the old west into the post-apocalyptic world of The Bane of the Ancients!

The Kickstarter has just begun and is off to a great start! Head over and help unlock the awesome stretch goals!

Let’s find out a bit more about this campaign. Here is what they say on the Kickstarter:

The Bane of the Ancients is a 0- or 1st-level Mutant Crawl Classics-compatible roleplaying adventure module inspired by zombie horror movies…and the horrors of office life. Available in print or PDF, The Bane of the Ancients will appear in 8.5×11-inch book format, feature a full-color cover and B/W interior with illustrations, and provide approximately 24 pages of zombie and corporate mayhem!

The village of Solace has always had to fight for its peace. Living in one of the few settlements on the edge of the Slouismo Fen, you have not only battled the elements, but also bands of nomads seeking easy plunder. These occasional bandits don’t stay long, and you have come to see them as akin to natural disasters—devastating, but suffering to be born like all the other hardships of life.

But this morning, as traders and foragers put out their wares, a ragged, tired group of refugees stumbles into the village. A few carry the weight of sleeping children. All seem dazed, overcome by fear and exhaustion.

You know that this time something is different.

A middle-aged human woman with tangled brown hair, her round face streaked with tears and blood, grabs the arm of the nearest villager. Her voice shakes with intensity.“Flee! Flee for your lives! They’re coming!”

Head on over to the Kickstarter to find out what it is all about!

Two great Kickstarters to support The Last Will and Testament of Obediah Felkner and The Bane of the Ancients! The old west and the far future all in one day!
