The Kickstarter for the Lankhmar Boxed Set just keeps getting better! Not only have we cleared our fourth stretch goal (Let’s go Five!), but we have just re-ordered those stretch goals to make them more appealing. The Dungeon Crawl Classics Lankhmar boxed set is going to be a reality, but with your help it can be so much more. We’re closing in on adding another adventure module to the set, and we can envision so much more happening.
We’ve already got three new adventure modules that were met with the stretch goals. The Gang Lords of Lankhmar is a 1st-level adventure where the PCs throw in with one of the three gangs vying for control of the streets. Nothing bad could possibly happen there–especially not if the Thieve’s Guild takes notice. There is also the 2nd-level adventure, The Fence’s Fortuitous Folly. A pair of silver-plated skeletal hands animate, and the PCs better do something to stop them, or they may find themselves face-to-face with a long-dead sorcerer. And our third stretch goal adventure is In The Company of Killers, an adventure for 3rd level characters. The PCs are tasked with stealing back an heirloom that was recently lifted from a town noble. No problem–except for the veritable army that is guarding it. And these are just the first three adventures! There are three more that can be unlocked.
And if you haven’t been reading the updates on the Kickstarter, you really need to check those out. Each one is a special insight into the world of Lankhmar, provided by the folks that will be writing the tomes for the eventual release, or a direct clue as to what will be in the book.
