Patrons List

Post by Raven_Crowking »

I am thinking that we should begin a list of all of the patrons out there from various sources, with links when possible. So, submit them to this thread, and I'll try to keep the first post updated semi-regularly.

Ganelith -- Lord of the Twisted -- Invoke Patron and two spells...
Cherek -- sort of... have invoke patron results and some patron taint.
Pagnyr'Parkus
Ik'tik'buboe, the Drowned Sultan
Crimson Anagalis
Marcus Tertius
Kaaboleth
Gruuhm
Nektherazzan, Sseleen'Jeril, Haeviel, Kizzithixx and Ghywval
Chrontics Vault
Atraz Azul, Mother of Spiders
Van der Dandenclanden from Crawl! Fanzine Issues #1 and #3.
Tamar (minor patron)
Malloc
Demogorgon
Archdloos,The King of Swords
The Benefactors (basically Mars Attacks style saucer aliens!).

Thanks. I thought so. :D

Of course, my real purpose is to not have to find these all on my own......

Thanks to all for making / collecting these Patrons. They take alot of work. I have 2 im working on myself.
There are probably around 25+ already. Maybe if we collect a few more we can put them all in a booklet. Another kickstarter? A full Patron write-up is probably about 3 pages, especially if it has an illustration. So 50 Patrons would be a nice 150 page book.

In a font people aren't going to complain about being unable to read, a full patron write-up takes more than three pages, my friend! There are a lot of charts. If you imagine that the average spell takes 1-2 pages, and each patron has three spells in his full write-up, that's 3-6 pages for spells alone. Some patrons have shorter spells, of course, but you shouldn't count on it. Me, I'm still happy to read nine-point fonts on chart-heavy material, but there are a lot of folks who are not.

Well the 3 pages was a guess. You would know better than me, since you are involved with the Patrons Kickstarter. If we collect enough player submissions, perhaps there can be a second book.

I'm not trying to discourage you; I am trying to give you an idea of what you need. There is room for more patrons, and more patrons, and more patrons in this game!

I took your comments as help, no worries. I just thought this would be a good project if someone wanted to take the reigns.
I better get my Patrons finished!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I found them by virtue of searching the forums here and keeping an eye on the DCC community here and on G+. DCC fans are a creative, productive bunch, and the best ways to find DCC info. and extra are to do searches here, on Google, and to check out Google+. Folks who don't miss an awful lot of great free stuff, information, and bits of news.

I also do an occasional Google search for "DCC rpg patron".
