Cut out a 6" circle of paper and draw a peace symbol on it (like a pie chart with three equal sections). One section labelled "+0 ", the second "+10 " and the third "+20 ". Roll on or near the circle and take the direction of the die (so 6 o'clock, i.e. pointing towards the player, would be +10).TheNobleDrake wrote:You happen to have a 3-stage d10 control replacement to get it working as a d30 without adding another die to the roll?

Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
Here's a pic of my current set. As you can see, it's not that fuggly. This is basically the same set I've been using for about 20+ years (give or take a die) except I recently added the zocchi-pack, the funny d7 and some similarly colored d6s (From Dragon Age RPG.) The little wood-colored d6 is actually wood, and it's a d3, 1-3 in red & green, it's a super cool d2/d3. I wish I knew what game it came from. The d10s are from various GDW games, they're also Gamescience. The d30, I've had for years, it's an Armory "precision" die. It's not nearly as high quality as Gamescience dice. It has lots of chips now.
Another option, so have somewhat matching dice is to get the White version of the d7 and match them with these d6s: http://www.amazon.com/Square-Cornered-O ... B001BIUAOG
The d6s are my most used dice, I roll then constantly. They're good for rolling all kinds of checks, ability scores, etc. so I didn't mind having them contrasting the rest of my dice. With those, the casino looking d7 doesn't look that out of place.

Here's a deal on the seven "extra" dice used in DCC RPG. Thery're all regular polygons, too, for those that don't trust the odd-numbered Zocchi dice.

Wow, perfect. Did you put this set together? I've been looking for the same type of set as my loaner set for demos!mikepmarkey wrote:Here's a deal on the seven "extra" dice used in DCC RPG. Thery're all regular polygons, too, for those that don't trust the odd-numbered Zocchi dice.

I did and I'm glad you like it. I had a time sourcing some of these, but I think there's a good solution for each die there. I had to get them in bulk, so I figured why not spread the love (and cover my costs).

Darn, looks like they're all gone. You should get more, if you can. I'm sure I'm not the only one left who'd jump at the chance of getting these fine-looking items for such a reasonable price as you were asking. You've already done the hard part, tracking down a supply.
Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
As of right now there's still 9 available, 9 have been sold. There were originally 18 sets.ScrivenerB wrote:Darn, looks like they're all gone. You should get more, if you can. Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
This eBay item ships to USA only. I'm not complaining, hey it's your right to restrict your buyers to domestic only, but it's something you should mention before cruelly dashing my hopes into a thousand irreparable shards.beshawn wrote:As of right now there's still 9 available, 9 have been sold. Okay, maybe I'm complaining a little.

Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
Well that went over better than expected....
I put in some more orders and I should have some new stock in early next week. I'll re-list after that and try to put a note here when I do. I put 11 packages in the mail yesterday. The rest I hope to get out this weekend.
bill4935, are you in Canada? I can include Canada next time. I'll just have to figure out what 1st class mail costs internationally, or what my other options are.

Let eBay do your figuring out for you... Just put in the weight of the package, and click where you're willing to send it to (or 'worldwide', or 'worldwide, but not here, here and here'), and it'll do the rest...mikepmarkey wrote:I can include Canada next time. Whew! I think I ordered the last set available.
Thanks for doing this. Those are the exact dice I've been searching for.

Argh! I'm one day short of getting that matched set.
Double argh! The seller's in Ohio too!
I think an "official" set of DCC dice that came in an "official" DCC logo dice bag would sell hand over fist.

There's an idea. I'd buy the hell out of that. They could approach Dragon Chow about doing the official dice bags; a few gaming products have already gone through them for custom bags (off the top of my head the Barrowmaze II kickstarter and the Race to Adventure kickstarter).sniderman wrote:I think an "official" set of DCC dice that came in an "official" DCC logo dice bag would sell hand over fist.

I missed it, too. That's the problem with something cool being an "add on" to an older thread; I didn't think to look at it until too late.sniderman wrote:Argh! I'm one day short of getting that matched set.
Agreed. I'd love one of those.sniderman wrote:I think an "official" set of DCC dice that came in an "official" DCC logo dice bag would sell hand over fist.

Yes, I agree, but would it be made available in that low-quality uninked plastic? For the nostalgia crowd?sniderman wrote: I think an "official" set of DCC dice that came in an "official" DCC logo dice bag would sell hand over fist.

Re: Zocchi Dice Buyer's Guide
I've bought and inked a set of Gamescience DCC dice. (Actually, two sets.) I don't want to do that again for a long time, so I know this old dude would "pass" on an uninked set with crayon. Nostalga goes away for me when I have to ink my dice.

Just two sets?finarvyn wrote:I've bought and inked a set of Gamescience DCC dice. (Actually, two sets.) I don't want to do that again for a long time, so I know this old dude would "pass" on an uninked set with crayon. Nostalga goes away for me when I have to ink my dice.
I must have a more resilient nostalgia gland - I've inked, including some re-inkings, something like 300 dice in the last two years or so... some with paint or paint pens, most with crayon in the last few months, and I still grab up a handful or two to ink every now and then from the dwindling remainder of the recent 5-pound box of Gamescience dice I bought.
I actually find it fun picking out the "right" color for a particular die from my obscenely large collection of crayons, and am even favorable to the idea of occasionally removing the wax from a set and re-ink to change up colors for a while.
...yet for some reason I can't seem to motivate myself to finish painting any of the metal minis I have primed and sitting on a shelf for about two straight years now.
