Thank you. I love you.
Oh, and I'd like to mention that the skeleton on page 23 is probably my favorite RPG character ever. Why is he lecturing the spear-wielding bearded dude in the old-school pajamas? Who cares? It's a great image!

I've only just begun reading the PDF, but I'll say this: I am very impressed. Not only is the book gorgeous, it's also well written and imaginative. I've already found myself nodding and smiling as I read. This is good stuff.

I have the advantage of living in radically different time zone and thus had most of the evening to check out the PDF. Holy cats is it awesome! I'm not sure when and how I'll be able to play this game, but reading it has been tremendous fun in and of itself. Some of the prose is fantastic (love the description of the shadow in the monster chapter), the trolling of the Troll Lords on page 430 made me laugh out loud, the art is great (table of contents FTW)...
The DCC RPG is what D&D would have looked like if it had been written by a Mad Scientist Rock Star.

Thanks a lot, the pdf looks great. The judge's section makes me want to play right away. I'm planning my first session next week, I'll let you know how it went!

Coming from James this is high praise and I wonder how Dwimmermount would work in DCC. Conversion time?James Maliszewski wrote:I've only just begun reading the PDF, but I'll say this: I am very impressed. Not only is the book gorgeous, it's also well written and imaginative. Anyways - I totally agree with the above sentiments. The book just screams - "Play me! I am cool and full of gaming goodness - play me!". Even if I want to houserule some things off the bat I will play this. It is too cool not to.

Joining in on the love here! Thank you thank you for reigniting my imagination and adventurous fire with this inspiring work! This is what I got into gaming for. The mystery and lost places to explore with my friends. So tired of spreadsheet gaming of the balanced mathematicians. The rule of the calculators is over! Long live our Overlords of Appendix N!

Thanks for putting so much time, energy, and love into this set of rules. This game is fantastic.
I love the wizard spells, love the thought put into magic item creation. This game feels custom made for my style of play.
Well done!
