If I find an old thread, perhaps several years old, is it better to necro it or start a new one?
I ask simply because some boards have a preference and I didn't see anything posted here about this issue. (For example, on The Forge if it's not on page #1 don't reply to it.)

As a fellow thread necromancer myself, unless someone official tells you otherwise, I'd say bring up a good perennial thread!

I'm a fan of necromancy too. If it's been talked about before, I like to go back and read what was said before.JediOre wrote:As a fellow thread necromancer myself, unless someone official tells you otherwise, I'd say bring up a good perennial thread!

Re: Question on thread necromancy
Glad to hear that folks don't mind.
I guess my general philosophy is:
1. If there's a thread and a post is on-topic, continue that thread to keep similar ideas together.
2. If there isn't a thread, or if an idea is somewhat tangent to the main idea, start a new one.
I just wanted to get a sense as to what was "correct" here before I started unearthing anything old. You never know what you'll find when you turn over old rocks...

I'm pronecromancy. Bring back any of the old threads that you like.

Re: Question on thread necromancy
My preference is necromancy! It's always interesting to re-read topics from a couple years ago and see what's changed (or not).
