Yep...Team "We Flunked Flank" will all be at the same table. Unless, we get separated by the teacher

Fathead: Thanks much for the post on the GC Forums, I'll go over there and put my two cents in. Sounds like you got your block for Clan Yeoman and we're hoping to square off with you guys again...good luck!!
Just wanted to touch base and see if we are still on to get ticket for 1773. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of August 15th.

Tickets for Trade

Post by timjthomas »

Hello all,

My group has signed up for the DCC Tournament, but ended up getting 2 tickets for RPG01772 and 2 for RPG01774. They are both at the same time (Thursday from Noon - 4pm).

However, we want to play as a group.

Is anyone interested in trading so that we have 4 for either 1772 or 4 for 1774?

Thanks,

Tim

I have the other 2 1774 and no you can't have them, but you are in luck.

The great folks running this event don't mind (at least last year they didn't) if you different even numbers as long as you all have the same time. Last year my group had 3 different event numbers but we still got to play together. This year we have 2 (still missing one ticket, anyone got an extra for thursday noon?) and I am betting we will still get to group up.

If all of this is lies though.... Hello to you and the friend who will be playing in 1774 with me and my buddy.

Toad - Swap

Post by timjthomas »

Toad,

Would you be willing to trade your 2 - 1774s for the 2-1772's I have.

The time and location (Union Station) is the same. The only difference is conference room within Union Station.

If it becomes a problem then we can take of of it onsite. I wouldn't worry about it though as all the organizers are understanding.

Ok. I emailed Joseph at Goodman Games and he indicated that the tickets would be enforced. So everyone at the 1772 table would have to have the 1772 ticket.

He suggested that if a group wanted to get together, that they trade tickets ahead of time.

Tim, I'd encourage you to re-read that email. It says more-or-less what I'm about to say here:

The tickets will be enforced if all else fails, meaning if no compromise can be reached among all concerned parties we have to place you where the tickets are.

To prevent that from happening, we encourage attendees to arrange swaps here if at all possible. Doing so prevents any slow-down to the tournament caused by trades. It also has the advantage of handling trades involving different times, which we do not do on-site.

Also, toad is correct in that we attempt to honor on-site requests as long as 1) all concerned parties are in agreement and 2) all tickets are for the same time slot.
All such trades must go through me. You can't miss me, I'll be the large-ish man with a goatee who looks like he's had no sleep. Just kidding. I (or my designee) will have a small sign that says DUNGEON CRAWL CLASSICS. We'll have exhibitor badges made out to Adrian or Chris.

EDIT: Oh, right, and I'll have a clipboard.

I cannot stress enough that we as the tournament organizers do not force people out of ticketed slots to make room for teams; rather, they voluntarily trade.

If anyone has any questions about this aspect of the tournament - actually, about any aspect of the tournament - feel free to PM me.

This is key and worth repeating:

As Adrian is doing for the DCC Tourney, I am doing for Xcrawl.

If you have any questions regarding the DCC Tourney structure, see Adrian.

If you have any questions regarding the Xcrawl Tourney structure, seem me.

Thanks guys for being accommodating. I'm sure we'll come to an agreeable arrangement for all parties.

And, more importantly, have a good tournament / con.
