It seems more like something all wizards did once to practice their craft - and subsequently should still be able to do - rather than a unique and powerful spell that they've spent years researching. So harmless that it doesn't even have corruption!
Why not ditch it from the spell list and make it possible for them all to use it as a simple spell check, the same way clerics request divine aid?
