Angels, Daemons and Beings Between - resurrected.

Post by Shinobi27 »

There have been a few mentions of this around the G+ community so I just wanted to confirm that Daniel J. Bishop, Paul Wolfe and myself are resurrecting Angels, Daemons and Beings Between. Our first goal is to make the book more kick ass than before and ensure the people who backed the original book get some bang for their bucks.

If you were a backer of the original book and have not received an email from me regarding this project, please send me an email with your details so that you can receive the same deal that the other backers will receive. Please note that the book is being published through Shinobi 27 Games and is not associated with Dragon's Hoard Publishing for this expanded version.

At present there is no official release date or price but more announcements will be forthcoming. The book will soon have a page count close to 200 pages. Save a space on your shelf for Angels, Daemons and Beings Between: Extended, Otherworldly Edition! Any questions regarding this book or future projects can be directed to: shinobi27@yahoo.com or through the message boards here.

Cheers,
David.

Awesome news!!! I'm so glad this great book will finally see print. I was a backer that never got a print copy.

Thanks for doing this, I was also a backer who never received a physical copy. I got the e-mail, and am looking forward to finally having this.

Well after many hours of proof reading and editing, the book comes in at 184 pages. I have 2 more pieces of art to complete and then off to the printers for a proof copy. Regarding PDF, I'm still working on that. The book has expanded so much further than the original it's almost a different book. Stay tuned on that one.

My pleasure, Daniel. Your work and Paul's work was too good to remain in limbo. Another update has been added to my blog, including the special edition cover for the original backers here: http://shinobi27games.blogspot.com.au/2 ... hoice.html

Just sharing an update, having received the proof of the new book yesterday, I have decided to produce a hardcover version as I wasn't too happy with the way it turned out. I will still make soft cover available but am looking to get a better quality product out there. Because of this, I will probably need another two to three weeks to completely re-format the book into 8' x 11' size due to my earlier insistence on making it A4. Oh well. Stay tuned.

The supporters of the original Indiegogo will receive the hardcover book at cost as well as two free adventures from Shinobi27 Games. It works out at around $10 plus postage compared to the current selling price of $29.99 for the hardcover. If they choose, they can get the softcover at cost instead which is about $5 cheaper to print.

Cheers,
David.

So I should wait for you to contact me instead of purchasing from Drive thru ?
I'd gladly kick in extra to this project, but I'd rather it go to you guys. Let me know what the next step is. Thanks.

You should have received the offer already Blood Axe, I send complimentary coupons to the same list of people that I replied to my original reach out. Email me at shinobi27@yahoo.com and I'll send you the coupons. Specify if you'd like hardcover or softcover. Whilst I appreciate the offer to kick extra into the project, I made a promise that we wouldn't accept any money from the Indiegogo backers. You will be paying for printing and postage anyway, so I think that in itself is enough.

My print copy is on its way. I liked the smaller, original. So I'm sure I'll like the new version that has all that extra content. Thank you!

This book is great. It is an essential book for anyone who plays DCC Rpg.
Essential! Let's face it, one of your players ( or you) will want to play a Wizard, and a Wizard will want a Patron. The core book only has a few.
Another reality is that creating your own Patrons is a lot of work. A lot.
This book has 24 new fully developed Patrons.

It even has a new idea : Demi-Patrons. Less powerful Patrons, but they may be less demanding. Their goals might be more in line with the character, and their power can grow along with the characters.
Neat.

180+ pages of sheer awesome.

This is the best source book I've seen for DCC rpg in a long long time.

Go buy it. Now!
