Editable copy of the rules

Post by Weisenwolf »

Is anyone aware of where I might obtain an editable copy of the DCC rules?

Yea I could crack the Beta PDF and modify it or scan the entire rule book in and modify that frankly I would rather not

I haven't found anything "out there" on the web. I did start doing a copy-paste and edit from the PDF into Word (for my private use only), but haven't gottten my project done very far yet.

Yea I may well end up doing that; I just want a version of the rules with my own house rules integrated within it for my gaming group and I. I wonder whether under the 'For personal use only' criteria Mr Goodman and co wouldn't supply it? They must have a word copy they could make available for a suitable administrative charge. Like many here I have purchased every bit of DCC material I can lay my hands on including multiple copies of the rules so I'm hardly likely to pirate any of it

I use the Commenting features quite liberally on my PDF - just insert comments where i have custom rules or clarifications I want to make. I know it's not what you're asking for, but it might suffice as an alternative approach.

You must have an expensive version of Adobe Acrobat or something like that. I can't edit or comment or anything cool like that. Only read and sometimes copy-paste from a PDF. :(

I used the Good Reader App. It allows you to edit PDFs a bit. I lined through and made comments on the PDF and included text blocks.

Is this a beta PDF or a full 4th edition?
