DCC RPG Dice sets?

Post by Blood Axe »

Dcc Rpg has been out awhile now. Is there any place where I can easily order a complete set iof DCC dice? One set, instead of buying separate dice here & there. Im in the USA.

Thanks.

The only thing I know of along those lines is the guy selling sets of the "non-standard" dice... http://www.genomicgames.com/store/p/1/d ... s-rpg-dice (fifth hit for a google seach of "dcc dice").

Blood Axe, I bought two sets from them and love them! After a pretty long search it was the best deal I could find.

Yeah, it looks like I might do the same. Ive looked at individual dice from somewhere else, but shipping kills ya.
Thanks all.

Koplow produce sets of d3, d5, d7, d16, d24, and d30 called "Who Knew?" in various opaque colours that match their standard opaque polyhedral sets. Unfortunately, that means they're still missing the matching d14, which would have to be purchased individually (and the only d14 they seem to do at present is white). So, if you're prepared to buy a white "Who Knew?" set, matching white standard (or jumbo) Koplow set, and individual matching d14, you can get a complete white set. Interestingly, they also do the d7 (d14, 1-7 twice) now is simply black ink rather than the coloured inks used in the sets offered above.

Their Who Knew? dice sets (d3, d5, d7, d16, d24, and d30 but no d14). The d14s can be ordered separately (see below):
http://www.koplowgames.com/page80.html

This page has their d14:
http://www.koplowgames.com/page92.html

This page has their normal RPG dice sets:
http://www.koplowgames.com/page83.html

This is also of interest (Koplow dice do very well compared to other dice manufacturers, even if they still don't quite match Gamescience):

I prefer the koplow shapes to zocchi shapes, but I don't like that the dice are so huge. It's a cross we must bear.

I bought two of his sets as well. Other than the fact that a couple of the dice are of a larger scale than the rest, it's a great set. I think he offers a pretty good deal and those dice supplement a traditional poly set pretty well. (I've also bought full DCC Gamescience sets. I think I like these better than Gamescience.)

Have they started producing d30s again, as the Zocchi packs never included them and they sold out of Armory d30s a while back? :crosses fingers in hope they're being made anew:

You can get some nice d30's through a place called GMDice, or something close to that. (I'll have to search on my computer for a link or something.)

I've got some d30s (some of the last Armory precision d30s that were for sale) but you simply got my hopes up that Gamescience had just released a complete DCC set including matching precision d30s. :(

Sorry about that.

I wasn't trying to lead you on, I just forgot for a moment that a d30 would be part of a "complete" set. I was talking about the 12-piece poly sets that you could buy.

Damn, ah well, no harm. Just got to keep watching and hoping that complete DCC sets are made by someone sometime soon.

The conditions of dice buying have gotten worse! Cannot find Koplow Who Knew? sets anywhere are the awesome oversized set for sale that Blood Axe mentioned is no longer available

I already have several sets of great looking Q-Workshop dice but I definitely would pay to have a DCC set alongside my beautiful Earthdawn dice.

I spoke with Koplow. They said they have their "Who Knew?" sets in stock and suggested GreatHallGames .Com. I went there and they do have many poly dice for sale, but they don't list the "Who Knew" on their website. They do show d14, d16, d24 and d30 dice for sale individually. Those are the ginormous ones we already have. Most of us want "normal" sized ones in the non-funny shapes.

In addition to the Kickstarter mentioned above, Impact! Miniatures already carries a good number of the weird dice, and they're not the stupidly-huge ones.
