I'm really surprised Planet of the Apes (1968) didn't make Jim's list and to a lesser extent Logan's Run (1976).

Will there be an expanded Appendix M in the MCC book?

If I ever get a game up and running I would definitely look at mining ideas from the old Logan's Run tv show - it had a very gonzo-post-apocalypse-monster-of-the-week vibe with aliens, androids, time travellers and even ghosts. Also, something in a similar vein was The Fantastic Journey. Good to see The Starlost on the list :)
