Well poop... I rolled a 9 to get the rope down, but a 4 to tie the scoop. Does Vashni know the treasure scoop is likelry crap so someone else can try to secure the thing, or is he using it as is?

Small jets of water pour into the fountain from embedded pipes set into the pedestal at its center. The pipes protrude just an inch or so from the stone.

The outer wall of the fountain appears to be everyday stone and could likely be smashed apart with the proper tools, time, and effort

Yeah, I say we move on to another room. I'm guessing a 6 on a d10 doesn't free Elrod's rope from the statue. If a 9 on a luck check means the falcon can fly up and lift the rope back off, we'll do that. If all else fails, Elrod will salvage whatever he can of the 50' of rope. He'll also look expectantly at Malthus in case he can make good on that 10 copper bet.

Skaath is resting on the edge of the fountain on his belly, tetter-tottering, trying to reach a gem -- all as Gene is rocketed back off the statue. Skaath's jaw drops, nearly touching the water. His eyes rotate to see this and he trips over himself reeling back away from the fountain. Kylie squawks.

Yadin doffs his slouch hat at Gene's demise.

Yan says, "At a minimum, we should hook that crowbar back out of there -- that's a valuable tool."

Freebo tries to keep the animals out of the fountain, in a futile process of chasing one out, only to have others get back in...

Having rolled a 4 to secure the "scoop", it quickly comes apart and fails to serve as intended. You still manage to drag the crowbar to within reach, though.

A chunk of mortar gives way. Her elven hands sting, partially from the impact but mostly from the contact with the iron crowbar.

No, no... go where you wish to go, do whatever you want. :)

I was just copying something I observed Jim Ward do at Gary Con last month. When someone at our table (he was running us through a Metamorphosis Alpha adventure of his) made any indication that they might be separating from the rest of us he'd quite deliberately and pointedly say, "So, you're splitting. The. Party?" Some changed their minds after that, some didn't, and what happened is another story. But regardless, I encourage you to do whatever you wish; sorry for the confusion.

I will consider Gromluck to have left the room, your other two zeroes are hanging back at the entrance, correct?

Indeed he does. Water (no more than toe deep) slowly starts to spread around the chamber. Shawn the Sheep laps at it greedily.

There's a slight depression at the center (where the fountain is) so it doesn't go beyond the entrance, but given time, that may change.

The pipes still pour into the fountain, so the volume of water within starts to dip noticeably, but not entirely empty. More like levels out with the rest of the area.

Emboldened by Telessa's example, Algaroth also steps gingerly into the fountain scooping treasure with the other part of the chest used for the scoop.
