If needed, the reroll on a d10 is 6+? for the lasso check.

Give me a roll (d20) for Gene. Not for swimming, necessarily (water is no more than 2' deep). Just because.

It's far from perfect, but you manage to get the rope more or less in the general area you wanted it, and it holds when tugged on.

The throw is off, but the falcon fully reacts as intended and assists in getting the rope where you wanted it.

Okay. Gene smoothly butterfly strokes right over and is at the pedestal upon which the statue stands. Water from the small jets gently pours down on his head, but otherwise nothing happens (yet)..,

There's a horizontal one at its waist (roughly where "mer" ends and "maid" begins) and a vertical one between shoulder and arm w/ trident. The first is 7 or so feet above your current position, the other more like 10.

Lots of hand/foot holds, so Gene can roll a d20. No guarantees on the no killing, though

The pedestal itself is just under 5' tall. The trident alone is 12' long.

Not as awesome as you might think, I'm afraid :|

Jamming the crowbar in results in a significant discharge of electricity from the metal statue. Gene takes 15 points of damage and is hurled across the natural chamber (ala the kid from the electric fence in Jurassic Park), smashes into the wall and winds up in a heap at its base, little arcs of electricity still sparking all over his corpse.

The crowbar drops down into the fountain.

Wowee...didn't see that coming! Now that we know THAT happens, and see the true scale of the statue, I doubt our ropes will do much more than snap or fling us about if the thing starts moving...

OK, so plan B: 1) We yank back our ropes. 2) Algaroth removes the lid from the chest he has. 3) We use a foot or so of rope to attach the chest lid or bottom to the ten foot pole to make a long-handled scoop 4) Profit!

Eh?

Vijo observes: "Jan fell when he tried to force the key into the wrong hole. And now Gene has fallen from sticking his bar into the statue... So apparently this dungeon doesn't like us jamming things into its holes..."
Mike: “Okay. And there’s nothing in between. It’s either grain alcohol in back alleys, or a happy world of rodents in feetie pajamas?”

Servo: “Yes.”

How does one yank back ropes lassoed and pulled taut around the statue's arm (genuinely curious) :?:

But roll well enough (d10) and it'll likely happen anyway

Need another roll for the creation of the "scoop" --- d10, or d20 if the occupation deals with building or crafting of some sort.
