What are the Type Codes? H/C/T/P etc...
Is there a purpose to the Encounter Tables?
Thanks for any advice.

Sure. Code C is combat, T is trap. P is puzzle. H? Not so sure about.

In 3e, encounter tables had a purpose because of how adventures were built. I dislike them as far as DCC goes, personally.

To finish off Mr. Raven Crowking's list, I believe "H" = "Hazard" (like if the PC's need to scale a rushing river, or something similar.)

They're handy to get a quick handle on the specific elements of an adventure. Say, if you're looking for something in your collection with a lot of traps, it's easier than reading or even flipping through each module to work that out...
