Goodman Games Announces “The Gamers’ Yearbook” for the Gen Con 2015 Program

In days of yore, back when gamers communicated through actual letters and the hottest news and reviews came in monthly form in printed magazines such as Dragon and White Dwarf, many wargame and role-playing game periodicals contained a page of classified and personal ads. Now, Goodman Games, as a nod to our shared gaming roots, is bringing back this tradition for the 2015 Goodman Games Gen Con Program in a new feature called “The Gamers’ Yearbook.” But we need the help of the outstanding Goodman Games fan community to do so!

Does your gaming group have something to brag about? A challenge to throw down? Or do you want to share news about a cool thing you’re working on with your fellow Goodman Games fanatics and have your announcement preserved in glorious paper and ink? This is your chance!

Here are some example submissions to give you an idea of what we’re seeking for The Gamers’ Yearbook:

“The Brotherhood of Boston DCC Maniacs announce their recent homecoming from the fabled Purple Planet. They return from the stars bearing weird riches and the body of Uthryk the Berserker Halfling. All are invited to celebrate his otherworldly death at the Burning Pelican Tavern in Punjar.”

“Gorgoth the Destroyer shall crush your puny convention funnels beneath his sandaled feet! There is no adventure that can destroy Gorgoth (or his player, John Doe). I mock your pitiful attempts to spell my doom, you DCC judges!”_

“Looking to start a massive METAMORPHOSIS ALPHA campaign this coming winter of 2016. I’m seeking up to 20 players willing to commit to an ongoing Roll20-based online campaign featuring rival tribes of humans and mutants aboard the Warden fighting to control the forest level. Email johndoe@email.com if interested”

The Gamers’ Yearbook is looking for brief personal ads, classifieds, Goodman Games-related gaming news, and similar contributions. Interested parties should submit a short message of 50 words or less to info@goodman-games.com. One message per person please. Goodman Games retains the right to refuse submissions for publication and edit for content and spelling. Submission deadline is June 21st, 2015 so get your Gamers’ Yearbook entry in today!
