What makes a good funnel?

Hello all,

I've played DCC several times at cons, and even run a (unfortunately) short campaign and am hoping to start another.

I had it in my head to try writing up a short funnel myself as opposed to using a published one. I've written -and even published- several adventures over the years, but not for DCC. What would you say makes for a good DCC funnel as opposed to a "normal" low-level adventure?

I'm thinking not just mechanics, but tone and theme too.

I believe there might be some slight expansion in the version of that article that appears in Dispatches from Raven Crowking Volume 1.

There is also a blog post about converting materials to DCC that may be germane; it is expanded upon in D.A.M.N. #1, but the free version is here: http://ravencrowking.blogspot.ca/2013/0 ... o-dcc.html
