anyone thought about making planetouched classes for dcc? like tiefling, aasimar, bariaur, githerzai...

are there some other race-classes floating around? like that half-orc downstairs?

Im guessing these are all copyrighted by WOTC. And they are surely plotting DCC's downfall!

Personal opinion incoming: I don't think that creatures from a more-fantastic-than-the-prime-material being adventurers in the prime material is any fun at all... and find that I prefer "normal people/strange place" to "strange people/strange place" types of stories. Combined, those two things mean that I typically view the sort of characters you are talking about as not really "good" for PCs.

Attempt to be helpful despite my preference: Tiefling and Aasimar don't really have a heavy enough theme, and may as well just be treated as funny looking humans that use the human classes.

Githzerai... I think the first step to including them would be writing rules for psionics.

Bariaur... aren't those centuar-like goat people? I can't really even remember, so I'll leave that alone for now.

no, no... guys i wasnt thinking of adding them but of running PS adventure using DCC just for kicks. in other words: elves and dwarves out, tieflings and gith in.

i remember old basic D&D modules Night Howlers and Tall Tales of Wee People that had rules for were-creatures and sylvan faeries (including centaurs if i do remember correctly).

i just wanted to see how to DCCify these pesky PS creatures. i am thinking that i should totally forget about 2e stats and just go for the feel.

edit: thanks crimsontree.

Use them as NPCs to be summarily killed.

Just start describing what the characters already know and can currently see, hear, feel, touch, and taste about these new races. Go for the feel and just keep going in that direction until you stop... you'll get there.
