In the description of Detect Magic, it says "The range is a cone 30' long and 30' wide at its end, emanating from the cleric's holy symbol." and the duration is 2 turns (20 minutes).
The question is this: Is the cleric able to move the area of effect of the spell after it is cast? Can they cast detect magic in one room, then walk into another room and still be detecting magic in the cone emanating from the holy symbol? i.e. is the holy symbol a "detect magic flashlight" for 20 minutes (or more) after casting this spell, or is it fixed in the location the spell was first cast?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Detect Magic Question
You have the right idea with your "magic flashlight". The key there is that it's said to emanate from the holy symbol...
The utility of the spell would be extremely limited if it lasted for 20 minutes, but it was locked in one spot!
