Hallo. New player here - I ran my first game the other day with a group of dnd vets. I have a quick q about critical hits:
Do you roll normal damage along with the crit table or does the crit table replace the normal damage roll?
I ran it the second way - crit roll and no normal damage roll - but the players queried that because you would probably rather do normal damage with a pitchfork (for example) than roll a d4 on the level 0 crit table.
Cheers in advance.
