What makes a good stat block?

I just finished a book of 5e monsters. I want to do a OSR/DCC version. 5e has a pretty well established stat block format. OSR and DCC use a similar sort of dense paragraph for a stat block. I appreciate the brevity but I'm not a fan of this style.

I'm looking for opinions on what you think a good stat block looks like and examples of stat blocks that you think work well.

Personally, I like the compressed DCC stat block, as is. YMMV

The compressed DCC stat block with some highlighting is fine.
