The God Ramat from Brave Halfling

Post by gibletblizzard »

Was Ramat ever developed into a fully detailed deity for DCC clerics to worship?

Had a guy come through the Ruins of Ramat keen to worship the spear dude.

No stats were ever given to any god. In my campaign the chosen god of a cleric defines his holy weapon, dogma and spell list. I usually make these up on the fly, eg. druidic priests get animal summoning on 1st level (which is a wizard spell by default).

That's all you really need, IMO. Especially if you include "sins" in the dogma.

Ramat (rä mät'), “The Radiant One” Minor Deity
Alignment: Lawful

Portfolio: Righteousness & Light

Symbol: a Golden Circle

Favored Weapon: Spear

Description: Ramat appears as a handsome, olive-skinned human with dark hair and golden chain armor.

I have more, (including a ritual a 0 level character can go through to become a cleric of Ramat), but they are currently written notes. They should be available in the next month or so.

But feel free to you him as you like. :)

Where (published adventure or setting) might "the distant lands where Ramat used to be worshipped" be located (from the adventure expansion idea in "The Ruins of Ramat")?

Wherever you want. It was never developed, it left open for the Judge. Due to the assumed style of the ruins it's probably some kind of fantasy Egypt.

Did this ever happen? In other words, did the notes get written into something to share? I just ran Ruins of Ramat for a new DCC group and one of the players is becoming a priest of Ramat. So anything would be appreciated to give me a head start on making notes on the diety.

Thanks,
Todd.
