Sorry is there rules for using a crowbar to open a door or chest?
Also what is the rule for more than one person to lift a gate or force a door open?
Thanks, I have the rule book but my flight to GenCon is coming fast
Happy gaming everyone

There are no specific rules for such things. Generally, if there's no pressure, they can simply do it, no need to roll. After all, anyone can force a door or lid, given tools and/or time.
You can fall back on systems you know, such as d20 rules or B/X rules or whatever you like. Or you can invent rules, e.g., the character with the Outlaw occupation is better at that stuff than the Forester. The Outlaw gets an 80% chance vs. the Forester's 30%.
Helping is similar, use what you already know, or make something up. "Since you're helping, you'll add +1 (or Your Attribute Mod) to Sven's roll..." etc.
The game is meant to be hacked to a greater or lesser degree.

If it were me, I'd maybe give the PC a bump on the Dice Chain for having the proper tools. Let them make the subsequent STR check with a d23.

Just change the DC of the lock/door/portal/whatever. If it was a DC 10 Strength check without a crowbar, make it a DC 5 Strength with a crowbar check instead.

Usually use d20 rules on something like this.. but if you're just playing casually don't even bother
